HA! This is an oldie but a goodie.
I told myself the guy who I was mad for wasn't that guy he was telling me about (himself) when we were getting to know each other in the beginning.
Oh, that's who he use to be, I'd say to myself. Yeah, all these things this guy was telling me was who he was two weeks before he moved from that state to mine. IDIOT!
Even my dad said, I know you love him, but don't trust that SOB. He didn't use SOB.
Nearly 30 years later I watched an old Maya Angelou interview having learned I was an IDIOT years prior. Having talked myself into making a life with the guy.

"When someone shows you who they are the first time; believe them."

God's peace surround you Maya. If only I'd read you sooner.

All that matters is that you learned the lesson!!!! Also, a great refresher for the rest of us!!!

I have had so many...
One- stayed up all night studying for a Government test having expresó coffee like it was going out of style...just to spend time with a guy. The next morning was all messed up from all the coffee and my body felt like just a little wind would knock me over.
Two- Wore very uncomfortable outfits to look cute.
Three- Before I could drive, I would have my mom drive around around the parking lot until my crush (later turned into bf) would arrive at school...to have the same timing you know.
I have many more....

Wow lets see.....so many but I would have to say give him money. Time after time....after time. Because I "loved him" 😑😑😑😑 I literally spent thousands of dollars on the guy. Learned my lesson.

Got married.

Most readers are going to put their own spin on that and probably misinterpret it. Just don't. It's my answer; leave it alone. :)

Lied, borrowed money and stayed at a friend’s place overnight. Now I feel very silly about it.

I had a mad crush on a guy. My friend and I made an email account to send him messages about a girl liking him. Eventually, I let her write saying I was the girl.

And nothing happened lol.

Ha ha! Did they really love the scent?
Sorry, I should maybe give a serious answer.

I’ve only ever been in love once and I really didn’t do anything “stupid” for him, but I guess the closest thing to doing something stupid would be.........arguing with him about him giving me money.

I hear you. I pray I have learnt from my mistakes and that God will bless me with a second marriage. A marriage where both loves Jesus, pray together, praise and worship Him together. A relationship that is pure, transparent and honest. A godly man that is patient, loving, kind, intelligent, funny. My list can go on and on with praise for this man.
