Jesus is coming, he will rule 1000 years, it is after the great tribulation and wrath of God, the resurrection/change is post tribulation pre-wrath and the end of the age seems to be close!
I think the same questions are coming up again. Before 1948(before Israel became a nation again) many taught that the mill. kingdom would begin a new dispensation. Many taught that 7 years prior would be the first Resurrection and the rapture. just before this would be a great tribulation.
Because of this thinking many denominations reasoned that until the nation of Israel was "again a nation" the prophecies of the future Israel could not be fulfilled(no nation=no fulfillment of prophecies by that nation),,,again now that Israel is again a nation(67 years now),then it is possible for the prophecies to begin to be fulfilled.
In this many began to rearrange their positions(taught prior to 1948),that is if there was a Resurrection 7 years prior to the physical nations formation then the Resurrection/rapture would have taken place in 1941,but did not and gave rise to the the "secret rapture theory" in way of explanation of why it was not seen. How be it though if there were an secret rapture then all who are here today were "left behind",,,
The future is interesting to ponder is it not? As well as many think that in the day Christ was crucified,buried,resurrected a new dispensation began,ending an old. In this many not seeing this end/beginning held on to the old and were confused by the new(which is the divisions among us today in eschatology),,,this being said though who will look at Israel and say,"wait!,did the dispensation of grace end in 1948 and the dispensation of the millennial kingdom begin?",,,
