Blain's got me thinking about the rapture and how we might have to soon give account of how we invested the "talents" God gave us. I'm just curious about what some of your gifts might be and how you've used them for God. I'm also hoping for some good ideas that I can get involved in.

I'm familiar with all sorts of ministries but I don't have time for a big commitment right now. Thanks though, I will. A while ago I thought my gift was preaching. I did a couple of sermons. I also had a men's ministry and wrote a weekly devotional column for the church newsletter. Right now I'm working out of town and when I'm home its all about the family. I just feel a little stagnant in the works department.

If true, then think about this: God does not make people sick. Workaholism is a disease. Do your career God's way. Love your family with God's love. Rest in Him and let Him renew your strength. For now, that's your ministry.
My gifting is the gift of knowledge. It basically means I have a great ability to understand theological things. It spills over into other topics - I'm generally a smart person. Having the gift of knowledge, it's pretty obvious I'd do well in the role of a teacher. I've led teen and adult Bible studies in the past here and there, and currently maintain a sort of ministry blog that contains messages, apologetics, and relevant philosophy. I also have strong administration skills, but since no church around here has much use for a college student, there's not much I can do with that.
