What does a woman expect a man to do? How long do women usually play hard to get?
Also if a woman tries to cause a little jealousy in a man, then she's probably playing the game to make him desire her more?

she wants you to tell her you like her...she probably not sure you like her... you can bet she likes you....
 
IDK, I never play hard to get at least not intentionally. I mean yes we do want the guy to make some effort, so sometimes I'll wait for him to contact me first or bring up us hanging out together instead of me. But if shes trying to make you jealous, thats not good or fair on her part, maybe she is trying to make you like her more, but its not a good way to do it, and its hard to trust that because she could be doing the same thing with the other guy she is making you jealous with.

wow...just ended up kinda answering the same question in another thread. sometimes a woman is a mankiller/trophy collector. you're just feeding her ego and you'll know it because she'll have no interest in asking any questions about YOUR life.

sometimes it may SEEM like a woman is playing hard to get when she's really just giving herself time to determine YOUR intentions. she's wanting to know if you're interested in getting to know HER, or if you're a male version of the trophy collector. she'll ask you questions about yourself and will CAUTIOUSLY tell you more about herself....a little at a time.

jealousy is so unattractive and only really insecure people want to take a relationship there. don't fall for that trap. it can be a lifelong battle.

OR...as Shard said...sometimes she doesn't like you and there's just no kind way to say that. :(

I told a girl she was off my top 5-10 prospects and the very next day she lists herself as engaged, messages me, tells me about it and tells me I'm jealous for asking about it. I tell her, you're only doing this because you're upset over my text. She didn't acknowledge it. ;)
 
My Outlook, There is a form of playing hard to get where ( She really doesn't know what she wants, Or isn't really into you) & And there is a form of playing hard to get where ( She is flirty, and she shows off that she likes you, and giddy around you ) But she is looking to see if you will go the extra mile for her, To a girl from my outlook on it, the girl is checking to see if u'd be a wasted try, or if you are really right for her. Id Advice playing hard to get guys!!
 
Playing hard to get is just a stupid relationship mind game. That's all it is. Let the women justify it all they want to, but its just a way of being dishonest and untrusting of the man. They lead the men on while he is just wanting to be with her. Women that play mind games like that aren't worth your time.

Simply put, if you find yourself chasing a girl nonstop and she plays hard to get, drop her. Pretend she doesn't exist and move on. She isn't worth your time or your effort, because she is being not only dishonest with you, but being dishonest with herself. She is playing games. Get rid of her.
 
If you watch nature shows with animals and stuff it is fascinating to see the mating games certain animals do. Most of the time it is the male that has to perform some task before he is allowed the alpha male role to mate. Sometimes they have to slay another animal, or square off with another male, or perform a ritual. Maybe women have similar standards? Ive never played hard to get, but I certainly see the value in not just placing yourself in the way of a male to his satisfaction. Women like to suss out a guy, see how he handles stuff and mayble to show he is strong enough for us. I know there are also women out there that do that whole ego trip to see how many guys will drool over them and run after them. Im thinking more along the lines of assessing a guy for his potential to provide and be a protector and good father material for future children. I think this comes through thousands of years of women looking out for their future children. I have heard too that men will check out women and make sure they look healthy and have a good enough body to bear children. Most of this is subconscious too, but it must be some form of built in instinct.

What happened to humans being humans and not acting like animals? haha. Also, what happened to simple honesty and conversations? Shouldn't honesty be the backbone of a successful relationship? Dating games and mind games and all of that never are good for successful relationships. Honestly always works. See where I'm going here?

Women can play all the games they want, justify it however they want, and try to prove it however they want, but their relationships never work based on those games. Relationships work based on honesty. Be upfront or don't waste my time is my thought. I don't need anymore ex girlfriends!

Soooo, subconsciously or not, a woman that is playing games is not worth anyone's time. They are being dishonest basically, and trust/honesty is the backbone of success in a relationship.
 
some women play these games>>>let's see if we can attract this guy then act like we're not interested. Only one word to define that: senseless
 
There may be some women out there that are giving the appearance of *playing hard to get*, but that is not their intention at all. Maybe they are scared? Maybe they are praying about it? Maybe they firmly believe in the man being the pursuer?

Relationships are a *risk* for both men AND women, so I realize those same things may exhist for a guy as well.

Just my thoughts. :)
 
If a man thinks a woman is playing hard to get it might just mean that he is a creeper who refuses to leave her alone. :)

lol shard i like ur comment very funny and plain simple and yeah debears i thought this topic might interest u :p i dont think they play these mind games consciously though,..like grace said,...maybe they are scared...but its possible tht shard's comment is true as well :D
