We talk a lot about the ought to's and the should's but, what happens when it all disappears?

What do you guys do to keep yourself in check and stay sane enough to actually form sentences?

How do you operate when you see someone who takes your breath away?

I'm pretty confident when I have nothing to lose. I can approach strangers and talk about anything. But what happens when you see someone that you know is absolutely beyond incredible and in all the ways that you value the most?

How do you respond when hope creeps inside and taps you on the shoulder as if to remind you that you are not dreaming?

I'm not talking about lust. I'm not talking about 3rd Corinthians 4:19. I'm not talking about something I can clearly define but, I'm hoping you know what I'm talking about :)

Go for it man!! Think of it this way... every other guy that has ever approached her probably felt the same way, so don't worry about that and just be yourself.

It happens so rarely that I meet someone like that, but that special kind of person has a way of getting to the core with just a smile and I'm so busy experiencing that moment that all my ways of approaching her just, as you say, melt away.

I think it's one of those times when you just have to try and recover enough cohearance to not make a complete fool of yourself, then you can get back to normal and make a plan to approach that person in a controlled way.
At which point they will probably realise your first reaction was just nerves, and give you a chance. :)

It does make it feel pointless to try and learn about the opposite sex and how to best ask for a date etc... because Christians (most of whom do not believe in casual dating), wait for a speacial connection, that unique spark of attraction before asking someone out, at which point that feeling reduces us back to being a babbling teenager.

Indeed! :D

Hahahaha

Two things:
1. Even when I had no idea what was going on in that scene as a kid, it was always my favorite.
2. I forgot how INTENSE Bambi was!
