Re: WHEN DID SATAN GET KICKED OUT OF HEAVEN ???? ( " LET'S GET SCRIPTURAL
As I have said a hundred times - Chapter 12 of Revelation is a symbolic history of the Church from the birth of Jesus to the escape of the Christians from Jerusalem in 66AD. That's all of the history that existed up to the time that John wrote the Revelation in 88-92AD. All of these elements are somewhat in Chronological order.
Revelation 12:5-9 (NASB)
[SUP]5 [/SUP] And she gave birth to a son, a male child, who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron; and her child was caught up to God and to His throne. (Birth and death of Jesus 33 years.)
[SUP]6 [/SUP] Then the woman fled into the wilderness where she *had a place prepared by God, so that there she would be nourished for one thousand two hundred and sixty days. This happened in 66Ad when the Christians escaped the Tribulation of Israel for 3 1/2 years.)
[SUP]7 [/SUP] And there was war in heaven, Michael and his angels waging war with the dragon. The dragon and his angels waged war,
[SUP]8 [/SUP] and they were not strong enough, and there was no longer a place found for them in heaven.
[SUP]9 [/SUP] And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him. (This happened at the cross when Satan was defeated.)
It further states...
Revelation 12:10-12 (NASB)
[SUP]10 [/SUP] Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying,
"Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, he who accuses them before our God day and night. (Jesus had brought in the New Covenant)
[SUP]11 [/SUP] "And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb (It took the Blood of Jesus for them to overcome Satan - after the cross) and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death.
I urge you with all sincerity to read this whole post before responding and read how the term son used in Isaiah 66 references a country and nation, that's imperative to understanding Rev 12.
Jesus himself told John not to seal up this BOOK OF PROPHECY, it's not a retelling, Jesus himself declared that.
Revelation is not a history lesson, the first seal isn't even opened until Christ was raised into heaven, he was the only one worthy.
Not to mention John was told to not seal up the meaning of these things....Rev 22:10-*Then he told me, "Do not seal up*the words of the prophecy of this book,*because the time is near.*
The prophecies of this book, that means that what John wrote was not an account of history man.
The woman giving birth is Zion.
The same mother of Isaiah 54
The same mother of Isaiah 66
The child is 'caught up' to heaven.
Look up the definition of rapture.....it's caught up.
You see the word 'son' from Rev 12 and are making assumptions that its meaning literally one.
But you HAVE to look at Isaiah 66. The 'son' this woman delivers is also called a country and a nation a few verses later.
So the son of the woman, in Isaiah IS a country and nation, and don't go just thinking that means Israel...in Galatians 4, Paul says the barren woman is OUR MOTHER.
Zion is the heavenly Jerusalem, that's the woman of Rev 12, thats the woman of Isaiah 54, thats the Zion giving birth in an instant in Isaiah 66, its the same mother of Gal 4, it's a book of prophecy, caught up...I mean...that literally means rapture just by definition alone!
There is only one woman EVER prophesied to give birth and the writer of Revelation was an expert in Isaiah, he quotes Isaiah all over revelation. This son involves the mystery of Christ, just look at what the Angel tells John, he told him that at the time the Angel is about to sound the last trumpet, the mystery of God will be accomplished. It's the mystery of Christ IN US, TO REVEAL THE FATHER'S GLORY TO THE WORLD. That's the mystery accomplished right after the LAST (7th) trumpet. There are only 7 trumpets in revelation.
Revelation is said to be a book of prophecy by Jesus himself.
