There is a new thread in town, claiming that there are two Churches.

This is plain false teaching - "hyperdispensationalism" apparently.

The Church was actually started by God when he sat down to eat with Abraham...we are part of the same Church.
 
I would argue that there are at two main churches. The church in Israel which lead all the way up unto Acts 2. Then God interrupts Israel's prophetic program, and a new body is formed after the Stoning of Steven and the saving of the apostle Paul. Where Christ reveals a hidden, secret, mystery revelation that not even the angels knew about. And God calls this new mystery Church, one new man - a new creature, no more Jew or gentile. Only the body of Christ. Which after formed, will be raptured out of here and take seats in Heaven while God finishes his program with Israel; and then the Church started in Acts chapter 2 will resume. 2 Men will hit the scene. God will call out 144k and start to preach Hebrews-Revelation. And fulfill all the end time prophecies. The anti-Christ will be made known and that good stuff will go on.

the church was started when God made skins for Adam and Eve.

The new man in Christ comes when people believed the message of the gospel of their salvation of which there was added to the church 3,000 people at Pentecost.

Acts 2:41 (NASB)
[SUP]41 [/SUP] So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand souls.


Acts 2:47 (NASB)
[SUP]47 [/SUP] praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved.


People did not start getting saved until after Paul came revealing the mystery of Christ and He is us. They started on the day of Pentecost. People get saved and are a part of the body of Christ when they believe the message of the gospel which is Jesus died and rose again and through His name they have the forgiveness of sins.

People do not need to know all the facts of the "mystery" of Christ and of the riches of the glory of Him being in them in order to get saved and becoming one with the Lord in one spirit as is very clearly seen in Acts before Paul ever met Christ on the road that day.

This whole thing about the church starting with Paul is a bunch of foolishness. Paul explains the Lord's gospel and expounds on what happened from the cross to the throne and what happened to the believer at the same time of which the original 12 apostles had no idea about. BUT this is not needed to be saved.

I'd go back sooner. The moment two people trusted God for his promise.
Genesis 4:1 Now Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bore Cain, saying, “I have gotten a man with the help of the Lord.”

wouldn't it go back even a little further to the first sacrifice for sins (the death of animals for covering)?

Couple of things to ponder......

Israel is called the assembly of the firstborn in the wilderness.....same word translated church which you know......

Noah was deemed righteous...nothing is said of Noah's sons being in the linage of faith....so...if the church went back before the flood, was it wiped out in the flood....?

Where 2 or 3 are gathered in my name.....

Or were NOAH and his SONS and wives still considered a church?

Just something to ponder

we know noah was.

I think there are numerous pics found in the ark.....

a) Pitched within and without (cleansed within and without by the blood)
b) God SEALED them in (sealing of the Holy Spirit)
c) Water disassociated Noah from the generation that perishes (pictured in immersion as an identifier with Jesus and disassociation from the world)

etc.....

How can the body of Christ have members added to them, 3000. When the body of Christ hasn't even been revealed to Paul yet? Paul's not even saved!

Also, how do you reconcile people being added to something that supposedly starts in Acts 2 at Pentecost? If Acts 2 is the beginning of the body of Christ, how can something be "added to" when it was just formed? You can't add to something that doesn't exist yet. If the BoC starts at Pentecost, how can the text say people were ADDED. You can't add to something that doesn't exits. Watch the video I posted above. You have much bigger problems to address than the one you listed. Trust me. And they are addressed in that 20 min video above.

There are people that "surmiss" that we can jump out of the ark once we are in it. The windows were at the very top and they were 18 inches wide. No person could get through that even if they wanted to. The things that the mind of man makes up in order to think the salvation of the Lord is dependent on us.
