All I did was to point out what is written in the Bible. I would rather not derail. Perhaps a new thread?

It is a good story. Because it shows how how grace accomplishes what the Law only demands.

The ''law as presented by Christ does not demand'' - that would be OT teaching which we have been delivered from. NT law is led by Grace that is not without law....they go together.

That's what scripture calls living by faith in Jesus Christ.

"I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me." Galatians 2:20

Living by faith in the Son of God should not make us reject the Commandments, after all Jesus Himself kept them !

Well, of course, that is simply doublespeak.

Thats right. It's not that the Law is dead, it's that we are dead to the Law.

“For through the Law I died to the Law so that I might live for God." Gal. 2:19

A person who has not died to the Law, is not living for God.

And which law do we have to die to ?
the one that is eternal, spiritual, holy, just and good, given by GOD - or
the temporary law of Moses ?

Zechariah 14:16
And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.

This is in the law. Was this accomplished yet?

Do you believe when the bible said ALL the law and the prophets are summed up In one word, love?

Yes, to answer your question. But back to my question..

Has the remnant of ALL the nations gone up to keep the feast of tabernacles each year to worship the king? Or to frame it another way; has those remaining of ALL the nations gone up to show love to God yet as detailed in the law? Was this accomplished yet?

IDK,Maybe the word "summed up" needs to be explained.

no, so should that make us lawless ? was Jesus lawless ? did He reject His Fathers Commandments at any time ?

Thank God Jesus did for us what we could never do for ourselves, eh?

As far I know at this part of my journey, accepting Christ into ones life will begin the transformation of that person into someone who seeks/attempts to live on earth according to the example set by Jesus and his disciples while they were on earth.

Even when temped, starved, and nailed to a cross, not once did Jesus disobey the Commandments or Will of his father.

If we are not to try to live as Jesus did while on earth, then whom should we follow.

.....Post #88.

And you claim to make perfect sense of all Paul's hard to understand writings ? you are better than scripture. Why do you think there is so much disagreement among us - because we don't fully understand. Paul was talking about sin in the flesh and sin in the spirit and as usual not being very clear about it.

How did Jesus say He did what He did?

Is not, "thou shall not covet", one of the 10? Does Paul not say it is Law Christians have died to and been released from?

Absolutely agree. We should all be as close to Jesus as His original Disciples 24/7.
That is my aim and my advice.

And if we don't rely on the work of Christ that He has already done to transform us by the Holy Spirit within us - then we have created a works-based religion that seeks to "do things" that Christ has already done for us. This nullifies the grace of God from being manifested in our lives.

The Father does not give us laws to keep. He gives us "the life" that is in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ to keep us. As we have received Christ - so we are to walk in Him. Col. 2:6 - Totally dependent on His love, grace and life towards us from start to finish.

Yes it is, but then he also talks of different things within a few sentences that only a Lawyer could understand unless we jump to the first and possible erroneous conclusion. In view of other scriptures relating to law we need to take our time getting at the truth. That is my view.

So, IOW, don't confuse you with the facts. Got it.
