hey guys obviously i'm a newbie here at christian chat so i'm trying to make me known here and this will be my 2nd topic and it's about GOD's arrival. I became closer to him since i stopped schooling last year. I became more closer to him because of all the things that has happened to me in the past but actually i'm a born christian but not that religious way back when i was a child. My grandfather caused me to live in a pastoral house and attend church at sundays and now that i've grown up, i'm starting to appreciate what my family has done to me all these years. I just started to read bible last january and i expect to finish it at the end of this year but i still do not have enough bible knowledge so i would like to ask you. Is anyone here exactly know when will GOD arrives?are there any scriptures in the bible about his coming?shar eme something^_^

welcome to the family!!!im a newby too so don't worry! no one knows the exact date of when GOD will come,there are plenty of verses that say no one knows when GOD will come,only HE knows.We are not meant to know.I would support this with plenty of verses but right now it's 12:13am here,and i'm getting sleepy,sorry.i just wanted to say welcome,hi,and that i'm also a newby,and that no one's know when GOD is coming! if you want any help with any part of the bible,feel free to ask me and i'll help in anyway i can!i was born and raised a CHRISTian so i know stuff,but of course,i dont know EVERYthing but im glad to help in anyway!:) GOD bless!!!

hello my friend ! i am here to tell you the truth. Nobody knows when it will happen, not even Jesus knew, so how would we know ? when someone tells you that it will happen this year or next year etc, do not let them trick you, because nobody knows and they are lying to you . Jesus gave us signs of things that would happened before the end , and one of them is that the anti christ will cut off animal sacrifices in the Temple . So one day the Temple will be rebult adn sacrifice will continue once again , adn then teh anti christ will end animal sacrifice and then we will know that teh end is nigh . God bless you ! (here are the verses that teach this

"15 "When, therefore, you see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand)," mathew 24:15 (read all the chapter 24, its about different signs , but this one is one of the most unique ones (not things tha thappen all the time) )
and here is the event that "abomination of deseolation that daniel spoke of"
""And he (the anti christ) will make a firm covenant with the many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate." Daniel 9:27

Mark 13 is also a good chaptr for learning about signs of the end.

Christ will return first in what is called the rapture. There is some debate as when the rapture will happen before or after a series of events called "Tribulation" however, this we know for sure. After tribulation Christ will set up a kingdom here on earth for 1000 years. This kingdom will be modeled after God's Kingdom in heaven. Christ will reign as king as we, believers, will rule and reign with Him as a "kingly priesthood" and will serve Christ on earth as Angel serve God in heaven.

After the 1000 riegn of Christ, final judgment will take place. Satan, his minions, and all nonbelievers will be cast into a lake of eternal fire. Then there will be a new heaven and a new earth. The bible speaks of New Jerusalm (aka heaven) descending upon the earth. In other words, the spirit realm of heaven and the physical realm of earth actually unite. This when when Godhead himself will come and dwell upon the earth.

first off, thanks for your response!

so does it mean that GOD will come after the destruction of the world?so there's nothing mentioned in the bible about the exact date of his arrival?

what about the December 12, 2012, mayans predicted that this is the exact date that the world will end by this so called "planet x" or "planet of the crossing". according to them, major changes in our planet will happen once the planet crosses the earth causing mass extinction. Are there any accounts in the bible that refers about this crazy prophecy.

mayans are not prophets,they're only guessing..if it were so,GOD would have told us in the bible.the thing is no one knows when that exact date is.but we do know that HE is coming "as a thief in the night" so that means we all ought to get started on following HIM...

hey, im new here too:D. you could read Revelation, it tells a lot of about Jesus' second coming. its mostly prophesy though. If your into Christian fiction you could read the Left Behind series. Its all about when the rapture happens. it goes into A LOT of detail about the tribulation, antichrist, and everything that is going to happen. Those books actually helped me come to God. They're by Tim LaHay and Jerry B. Jenkins. I learned a lot about everything(but i still don't know everything yet) and they quote a whole bunch of verses from the Bible. I hope you do read them, and if you do that you enjoy them.

Yeah, basically the entire book of Revelations is about his second coming. You will find some symbolism in there however the bible clearly tells you what those symbols represent.

I personally feel that the book of Revelations should be taken literally and chronologically. If you do so this places the rapture, or the second coming, at the end of Tribulation. Basically Jesus comes to deliver his people from ultimate destruction at the hands of man who are lead by a demonic figure (we call the Anti-Christ) who claims to be God. Basically Christ comes in the clouds and all who truly believe, both dead and alive are taken up and we are transformed. It is at this moment that God begins to pour out his wrath on all those who are evil and corrupt.

Jesus and all the saints then confront the Anti-Christ, who is basically the devil himself, and Satan is defeated not by force but by the word of God the proceeds from the mouth of Christ. Satan and his minions are then bound and cast into hell. Jesus then returns to Jerusalem where He establishes his Kingdom for 1000 human years.


Now there are those who believe that the rapture takes place before Tribulation. That is the opinion held on to by the authors of the "Left Behind" series. Although I was raised to believe that way, the scriptures that people use to verify that the rapture comes before Tribulation could just as easily apply to the way that I explain above. However, by believing this way that would imply that Jesus came to earth three times which scripture does not support.
