I watched the video and had a great laugh
.. But yeah that is a great symbolic depiction of my spiritual journey on the Way of salvation.... All praise and glory and boasting is for God and not for us.. Got to admire a God who can keep thousands and thousands of Christians like me standing up.. All at the same time..

1.)In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
2.)For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.
3.)Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.
4.)And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.
5.)But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.
6.)Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?
7.)But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.

Well he did cast the shovel away!
Every time I watch this it gets funnier.
Romans 13:12-13 NKJV
[12] The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore
let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on
the armor of light. [13] Let us walk properly, as in the
day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness
and lust, not in strife and envy.
Every time I watch this it gets funnier.

Maybe there is another way to look at it. Maybe the Lord wants him to be humbled and in a sense "fall", and he keeps fighting against it with pride.
