Yes, that is not a cat in my avatar. I was born and raised in Nova Scotia, which I have said here often. Which not the area I know you are from. I do now reside in the US and I am married. I guess I could post our wedding picture to prove it. Though I'd rather not. Peldom not all Canadians look alike, nor do we all know each other. There, three myths busted. Here's another, my name is not Kayla, hubby didn't trust giving personal information on the web when I signed up. Kayla is the name of the little dog in the picture. Oh, BTW neither Magenta or I are "new age" believers. smh WOW!! I'm afraid to ask, but if there's any other gossip or myths I can bust here then let's bring it out. And no I don't know where UFO's come from.

I can tell we will get this ...a little bit at a time.
Currently...we are at ...both Canadian......WUDDA .....never guessed. :sneaky:

Me too! I think someone is trying to pull our chain. Pen. I think it would at least be fair to reveal who told this. But I have a suspicion of who already.

Pen it's time for leg pulling to stop now. Magenta is single and is in that forum, as she has every right to be. I'm married. If you're claiming we are the same person, now you're saying we, or one of us, is flat out lying. Again, you say " you've been told" so who knows either of us that personally? No one here has met me in the real world, so to speak. No one has my personal email or Facebook page. So whoever told you this lie needs to come clean.

She is absolutely beautiful @kaylagrl ...
...xox...
Thank you. She loves cows. So we actually have to take her out in the country to visit the cows. They seem fascinated by her and she never barks, she just stands in the window and watches them. She just gets so excited. One time she broke free of her leash when we were visiting a historic place where they had cows. She ran into the field and started trying to round them up! smh I ran toward the car because I knew she'd follow. My husband said the cows just stared at her. Lol they must have been wondering what exactly she was!

1Cor 13:12 . . Now we see things imperfectly as in a poor mirror, but then
we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and
incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God knows
me now.

Back then, mirrors were made of metal, and their surface finish wasn't
nearly as good as the ones now. People's faces were somewhat distorted
too, like those funny mirrors in carnivals. Plus, their reflection was like
looking at the world through a dirty window; they could can see themselves
alright, but not sharply.

For example; the first time I used the mirror in my bathroom when I got
home from cataract surgery, I was startled to see how much I had aged over
time without realizing it because now I could see all my wrinkles and
blemishes clearly whereas before surgery I couldn't. It was like the operation
had suddenly made me 15 years older.

For now the exhortation to "Know Thyself" is virtually impossible, but I
think most us prefer not to see the real person that we are in too much
detail: at least for now anyway.

FAQ: What is meant by soul?

REPLY: Soul began appearing in the Bible in the book of Genesis by the
Hebrew word nephesh (neh'-fesh) which isn't unique to human life. Its first
appearance is at Gen 1:20-21 in reference to aqua creatures and winged
creatures; again at Gen 1:24 as terra creatures; viz: cattle, creepy crawlies,
and wild beasts; and again in Gen 2:7 as the human creature; and yet again
at Gen 9:10 to classify every living thing aboard Noah's ark.

* God has a soul too. (Lev 26:11, Lev 26:30, Judg 10:16, Isa 42:1, Jer 32:41,
Zech 11:8)

Soul is somewhat ambiguous but basically refers to consciousness, self
awareness, and individuality. It's sometimes a reference to one's heart, e.g.
Gen 34:3, and to the core of one's being, e.g. Gen 27:4.

All in all, soul is just another way of referring to that part of human life that
we call "self" which is defined by Webster's as the union of elements (such
as body, emotions, thoughts, and sensations) that constitute the
individuality and identity of a person, i.e. the you that you are.

Jesus' followers can expect to retain their souls when they pass on, but
things are not looking good for the lost. According to Matt 10:28, people's
souls survive normal death, but do not survive Hell fire. That fact gives me
pause to question whether people condemned to the lake of fire-- depicted
by Rev 20:11-15 --will be aware of their circumstances in an environment
that destroys both soul and body.

I believe that I am spirit, soul, and body.
My soul consists of my mind, will, and emotions.
Together, my spirit and my soul make up my personality.
My heart is the center of my being.
My mind is the gateway to my heart.
My body is the machine that carries me around.

Human intelligence is produced by a three-pound lump of flabby organic
tissue housed within our bony little skulls; and not even all three of those
pounds are utilized for cognitive processes-- in point of fact, something like
60% of the human brain's mass is fat.

The IQ of roughly 67% of the population falls between 85 and 115 while
2½% lies above 130 and another 2½% lies below 70. Apparently the
remaining 28% fall between 70 and 85.

A very bright magazine columnist called Marilyn vos Savant has an IQ
ranging between 180 and 228; depending on the testing method and/who
evaluates it.

Point being; there are elements of the Christian religion that make no sense
at all; not even to the brightest minds. For one: all of Adam's posterity were
made sinners the very moment that he tasted the forbidden fruit as if they
were right there tasting it with him in real time. For another: one man's
crucifixion satisfied the justice of God for all the evil that humanity has
committed in the past, all that humanity is now committing, and all evil yet
to be committed in the future-- the totality of humanity's evil from first to
last: all of it.

The IQ of the brain I have now cannot even begin to comprehend the logic
of those two elements. However, the Bible predicts that Jesus' followers are
on track to be given a body patterned after the supernatural body that he
was given some time after his resurrection. Well; I anticipate obtaining an
improved IQ with that body so's I can comprehend some, and maybe even
all, of Christianity's remarkable mysteries.

I expect to be quarantined upon arrival and shuttled off to a sort of Bible
gulag where I'll undergo intense indoctrination so that when I'm released
into the general population there will be no quarrelling and/or debating.

I also expect to be pushed thru a sort of finishing school where my manners
will be corrected to perfection so that I don't go about insulting folks,
stepping on their toes, and/or hurting their feelings with thoughtless
remarks and toxic rejoinders.

* For many of us working stiffs, the first day on a new job is stressful and
quite an adjustment. The night before that first day can cause enough
anxiety to keep us awake worrying about what we might expect.

I'd imagine that, whether we end up in the right place or the wrong place in
the afterlife, we will be just as stressed on our first day there as the first day
here on a new job.

The anxiety associated with death is to be expected seeing as how most of
us have no experience at all with that particular journey. But I think the
majority of my anxiety in regards to death is related to what comes after.
Pity there are no guide books available in print to prepare us in advance for
the culture-shock tsunami with which we are sure to be slammed.

Can you just imagine having free rein of this planet with an immortal body
and perpetual youth, and no fear of war, violence, poisonous snakes, toxic
insects, or wild animals!? I can hardly wait. One of the first things I want to
do in Messiah's kingdom is hike the triple crown: the Pacific Coast Trail, The
Continental Divide Trail, and the Appalachian Trail. Yeah, Cirque of the
Towers here I come!!!

People hike the big trails for a variety of personal reasons. Some march thru
like soldiers to get it done and chalked up, while other's take their time and
savor every minute of the adventure-- all the sights, sounds, smells, and
wild things that they encounter along the way: even the dirt, the dust, the
bugs, the hazards, and the discomforts. They are in no hurry to get done
because if they hurry, they might miss something.

Jennifer Mabus (a.k.a. Starburst) is one of those. She even stopped for a
while to watch two small lizards battle out a territorial dispute. Hiker trash
passing by thought she was nuts and wasting time; but Jennifer was in
Nirvana, so to speak.

Well; that's me. I want the whole nine yards. Charging ahead to the end of
one of those wonderful trails is just not my idea of a heavenly good time.

Ps 16:11 . . You will make known to me the path of life; in Your presence
is fullness of joy; in Your right hand there are pleasures forever.

Heb 2:5-8 . .The future world we are talking about will not be controlled by
angels. For somewhere in the Scriptures it says: What is man that you
should think of him, and the son of man that you should care for him?

. . . For a little while you made him lower than the angels, and you crowned
him with glory and honor. You gave him authority over all things. Now when
it says "all things," it means nothing is left out. But we have not yet seen all
of this happen.

1Cor 6:2-3 . . Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if
you are to judge the world, are you not competent to judge trivial cases? Do
you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this
life!

From the gist of 1Cor 6:1-5 it appears the justice spoken of is relative to tort
matters rather than crime-- defined as wrongful acts other than breaches of
contract for which relief may be obtained in the form of damages or an
injunction; and there are many categories addressing just about every kind
of grievance imaginable. Well; I'm familiar with human activities but haven't
a clue what angels might have in dispute amongst themselves.

Apparently Messiah intends to delegate quite a bit of his administration's
business rather than attempt to do everything himself; but to be honest, I
don't feel capable of umpiring even so much as a little league game let
alone something like that depicted in 1Kings 3:16-28.

According to Luke 16:19-31 it was possible at one time to communicate with
one's family should they have perchance ended up on the wrong side of
things.

Well; I certainly hope that's still permitted because there are certain of my
loved ones and BFFs with whom I would very much like to spend some time
with before they are exiled forever in the lake of brimstone depicted by Rev
20:11-15.
