When we meet, do our meetings aim at what?
In the case of Israel, their meetings were abhorrent:
It’s not in vain that the Creator destructed their palaces, strongholds, meeting places, and the Sabbaths were kept out of mind (antagonizing Exodus 20.8). After all, when they got together, instead of glorify the Creator, they abashed His name (as took place in the time of Paul):
Many people get whimpering and harping on about solitude. But when we have opportunity to meet with our relatives or friends, why do we meet?
So, if Jesus, many times, allow us to wail it is because by the sadness of the face the heart is made better (Ecclesiastes 7.3). So, learn to be elated when your heart is undergoing to Jesus’ treatment and have a great day partaking of the feelings of Christ in the life of who is close to you (1Corinthians 1.10; 1Corinthians 12.26; Philippians 4.2; James 5.13,14).
- “The Lord became an enemy. He swallowed up Israel. He swallowed up all of its palaces. He destroyed its strongholds. He made the people of Judah mourn and moan. And He violated His booth like a garden, and destroyed His meeting places. Jehovah caused the meeting places and sabbaths to be forgotten in Zion, and He despised the king and the priest in the fury of His anger.” (Lamentations 2.5,6 – GW, MKJV).

- To stay all the time scuffle for hackneyed things?
- To gossip, to disparage the government or other people, to play jokes, many times using scurrilous words and defaming the name of Jesus? And the worst: many times we mock and laugh together (ignoring 1Corinthians 15.33; Psalms 1.1).
- To adore Jesus in the same way that the wicked worship their gods (contradicting Deuteronomy 12.30)?
- To praise Jesus in a funny way as the rabble use to do in order to, desperately, try to fill their void heart (with the excuse that this is a strategy to entice them to accept Jesus)? Even though they did this, “what type of Jesus” and “how” they are receiving Him in their lives?
