Have you tried poisoning them ? Anti-freeze works good but you have to use a lot of it. I have a recipe for anti-freeze chilli I could send you (two cups of anti-freeze for every can of kidney beans) but you have to cook it slowly. Other problem is not using enough of it. Don't use enough .. and all you've done is help them to endure the colder climate. Anyways .. PM me if interested

Perhaps. I've been told that 1 1/2 cups of antifreeze per can of kidney beans will get the job done too. But why take chances ?

But eventually, there is more wins than failures, you're braced, and occasionally, you come home with a win.
20 years down the road, viola! Just like magic. Nothing happens. What is often forgotten is nothing happens because they can't figure out how to get a reaction out of you.

I would love to have a family, I think fighting would be wonderful.
I am very elderly!!! and a year ago I got quite ill. When I got out of rehab I was driven to assisted living, my daughter said she would have nothing more to do with me. My son had died, his wife came to tell me she didn't accept that her marriage made me a relative of hers and she and her children would never speak to me again.
My daughter and I had always had fun together, this was quite a shock. We always talked things over together, yet the move to assisted living was done without one word to me. They simply ignore any way I try to get in contact with any of them. My grandson and family live within a mile of me and I haven't seen or spoken with them for several years.
It was terrible to go through. Such grief, but it was of their choosing not something that couldn't be helped. My minister gave me Num 6:24-26 The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. Every time my thoughts went to "isn't this just terrible" I substituted this scripture to bless all of them.
It seems to me that facing them with whatever they have against me would be better than this, but perhaps not. I had to create a new way of thinking of myself--from being a mother to just listening to God for what he wants of me where I am. My new life is full and joyful.
This all seems to be part of the new world we live in. The idea of family as a unit that supports and protects each other is gone from our world. Even marriage is different, and the idea of two becoming one so if one hurts the other they are hurting that unit is gone. Marriage is now usually just something that benefits the other and if that doesn't work out the marriage can be dumped. With this idea, when grandparent is old they can also be dumped.

Family discord...yeah I have some experience with that. I don't get along with my family any better than I do anyone else. The only thing I can do is bite my tongue as much as possible. I bite my tongue and remind myself that someday soon, there won't be any more family for me to deal with.

I have a couple of sisters that don't get along, one is full of hate, and there's no fixing hate. Trying to force peace would be like telling the pharisees to get along with Christ. When someone is full of anger, just let them fume in their hatred. I've tried to intervene, and its like trying to get Hitler to love a Jew.
