So that's not the first rant (maybe "rant" is a poor choice of words) I've seen like that here and elsewhere, and probably won't be the last. So I'll throw my own "rant" out there. :D
This does bring up some things for me. Most women always say they want honesty from men...well here you go, honesty from one man:

If a woman came at me with such I'd probably just run for the hills. ha.
How is any man supposed to live up to this perfect standard some women seem to think we should?
Don't get me wrong. I don't think anyone should settle for less than what God expects from a relationship, but I don't think many are realistic either.

The thing is, there are a lot of Christian women walking around who have an arrogance about them, in my opinion. "Oh I'm the greatest thing since sliced bread because I belong to Jesus! You should practically worship me as a queen!" It's like they feel entitled. Quite frankly, women like that are probably scaring away the decent men who are truly trying to live for God but also realize they are very imperfect. It's hard enough without someone there who is judging your every move to see if you're worthy of being with such a stellar, amazing princess such as they are. Where is the humility?
I can't relate to perfection since I'm not pefect. What I can relate to is a daily struggle to try to do my best but often feeling like I fall short of what God expects. The good news is, I can get up, dust myself off and try again. All the while knowing He loves me just as I am.
I'm not Jesus. I'm just some flawed, imperfect little speck in the universe that is loved by Him.....and you (as in anyone who I perceive to have the above attitude) have no chance of me truly opening up to you even on a friendship level...not that I'd be good enough for you anyways.

If you want to say "There are NOT many men (or women) out there who are honestly trying to seek God and at least putting forth the effort." Then fine. I can't argue with that. I wouldn't want to be with someone who isn't putting the effort forward either....but things can just be taken too far.

In the bible.
lol. Nice. :D

Of course, in reality, those guys had some major flaws too (murder, adultery, etc. David and Moses come to mind immediately).

I'm sure all would agree that Jesus was the only perfect man.

This man is the ideal, but does not exsist, because you just described the perfect man.

I wouldnt mind someone who strives towards some of these, but i wouldn't someone with all of these qualities because i would look so flawed in comparison.
*ding ding ding* YES.
We are all flawed.

Awesome post... and your exactly right.

He's probably off doing something the women find 'boring'. He probably can't be found base jumping or doing stunts on his motor bike.

If you're looking for a Honda don't go to a Ford dealership.

Where are all the real men of God? Men who stand up and are not ashamed to proclaim Jesus Christ above all us. Men who understand the call of God on their lives and choose to pursue that call no matter the cost. Men who know that being a man is so much more than gender and rights but headship and sonship before the King of Kings. Men who understand the meaning of marriage and see it as a holy covenant and not a dictatorship. Men who daily allow God to wreck their lives and schedules to teach them His principles. Men who understand the delicacy of a woman's heart and strive to never lead that heart on or exploit it. Men who understand that it's their God given right to lead their marriages and households and do not take that lightly. Men who see women as daughters of the King and treat them as such. Men who fight for what is right and stand up for what they believe is right even when there is none to stand with them. Men who will not *allow the enemy any ground in their lives. Men who stand up for purity and holiness in every aspect of their lives. Men who above all else want more of God and never relent in their pursuit of all He has to offer. Men who never give up or back down. Men who put priorities on fulfilling the role God has given them in the relationships they have and never grow tried in doing that. Men who understand that until they take their place we as woman can not take ours. Men who understand that we as woman are looking for someone who can not just keep up with us but lead us to fulfill the purposes of God in our lives. Men who understand that they should love us as woman, as Christ loved the church and would do anything for her that she in turn will respect him as a man and do anything for him.*

Too busy trying to survive in the cesspool called life and putting up with the jokes and ridicule.

In Iran there is a Pastor set to be Executed for his unwavering Belief in our Lord Jesus. He sets the example in modern times..how many of us have shrunk back from evengelizing because of embarasment. Here is a man who is facing death rather than renounce his faith. Where are such men? Here is one. My question is why aren't the rest of us so strong as to see his example and not the Pastor, who I have prayed for with tears in my eyes, but Christ's example. People see me reading a bible and some have asked me and I answer. I know that I am one who believes and I have sinned. I know that I am stronger with Christ than I could ever be with sin. I heard a voice saying pray not for the Pastor, on his left and right are Angels, pray for those who know not the word of God. Our fight is in the realms of the Super natural, and for that fight we must be strong enough to carry our own cross up a hill. Just a thought....

Because the rest of us aren't in Iran

I could ask where are the Psalms 31 women are... But, I think I'll continue to work at loving my enemies instead. I'm pretty sure God knows we all have some work that needs to be done in our lives. Male or female.

Dear sister...
I used to ask myself that question before until I wondered what a man of God would think of the christian women in this world today.
I guess some men also wonder where the godly women are.
The problem is that all of us are being christian in words... but we can only answer with our life.
Only God can truly tell us wether we are a man/woman of God or not.
We might sound extremely Holy to the multitude and yet be the biggest rebels towards God in our hearts.
I suggest we better stop looking for this man and try to seek the kingdom of heaven first before we miss all that God really planned for us.
The man that appears to be holy could sooner or later surprise you with his inner ugliness.
I guess the man of God would not just jump and shout "hey ladies, here I am, the man of God!"
I guess he's hidden in his clloset, trying to find God on his knees. Trying to live a fruitful life in God.
Avoiding every deceptive moment to become proud.
I changed that question to..."Where's the godly woman in me?"
To be very honest. I sometimes have the feeling that she's very hard to find in me...

blessings
