So that's not the first rant (maybe "rant" is a poor choice of words) I've seen like that here and elsewhere, and probably won't be the last. So I'll throw my own "rant" out there.
This does bring up some things for me. Most women always say they want honesty from men...well here you go, honesty from one man:
If a woman came at me with such I'd probably just run for the hills. ha.
How is any man supposed to live up to this perfect standard some women seem to think we should?
Don't get me wrong. I don't think anyone should settle for less than what God expects from a relationship, but I don't think many are realistic either.
The thing is, there are a lot of Christian women walking around who have an arrogance about them, in my opinion. "Oh I'm the greatest thing since sliced bread because I belong to Jesus! You should practically worship me as a queen!" It's like they feel entitled. Quite frankly, women like that are probably scaring away the decent men who are truly trying to live for God but also realize they are very imperfect. It's hard enough without someone there who is judging your every move to see if you're worthy of being with such a stellar, amazing princess such as they are. Where is the humility?
I can't relate to perfection since I'm not pefect. What I can relate to is a daily struggle to try to do my best but often feeling like I fall short of what God expects. The good news is, I can get up, dust myself off and try again. All the while knowing He loves me just as I am.
I'm not Jesus. I'm just some flawed, imperfect little speck in the universe that is loved by Him.....and you (as in anyone who I perceive to have the above attitude) have no chance of me truly opening up to you even on a friendship level...not that I'd be good enough for you anyways.
If you want to say "There are NOT many men (or women) out there who are honestly trying to seek God and at least putting forth the effort." Then fine. I can't argue with that. I wouldn't want to be with someone who isn't putting the effort forward either....but things can just be taken too far.

Of course, in reality, those guys had some major flaws too (murder, adultery, etc. David and Moses come to mind immediately).
I'm sure all would agree that Jesus was the only perfect man.
We are all flawed.

lol. Nice.In the bible.

*ding ding ding* YES.This man is the ideal, but does not exsist, because you just described the perfect man.
I wouldnt mind someone who strives towards some of these, but i wouldn't someone with all of these qualities because i would look so flawed in comparison.
We are all flawed.
