Where are the sun, moon, and stars?

I think looking at fingals cave full view shows something was higher to carve out those beam looking structures. It looks like columns holding up a slab of rock
Why - they are - above - the firmament - of course!
I call it "that place above the firmament"...

The way I currently see it:
Above the firmament is a dome which contains the atmosphere that is below it. It sits upon the earth hundreds or thousands of miles beyond "the circle of the earth" (Isaiah 40:22) - which is the "ice ring" that contains the oceans.
Either the dome itself is made of water or the dome is made of some impervious transparent material with water above it.
The sky is blue because of the water above the firmament.
The dome makes possible "sun dogs" and rainbows.
The third heaven is beyond the dome.
The second heaven is the upper part of the firmament under the dome - where the sun, moon, and stars are.
The first heaven is the lower part of the firmament above the earth - where the birds fly. (and where the clouds are)
You said to carefully read Genesis 1 to understand what the stars really are. What are they?Why - they are - above - the firmament - of course!

If so. What caused limestone to fold like that?
The stars like the moon are used as a reflection as temporal time keepers. Like Ecclesiastics using the term "under the Sun" .The period of corruption by reason of Him who corrupted it. They are used to reflect the light of the Sun In the same way Jesus is a reflection of the unseen glory of God who is Light.
On day four he turned the "under the Sun" switch on . A sign that corruption began .
On the last day the sun and Moon will be under the feet of His bride. There will be no night to represent evil .
And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there Revelation 21:22-25
God did light it and the lamb of God is the light.
This is unlike the son of the morning who it would seem fell when Gd found pride in his heart. On day four the beginning of the corruption.
How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Isaiah 12-14
Like the reference in Revelation 21 ( the Lamb is the light) not only was Christ a morning star as a messenger. . but a "bright and morning star" .as the source and the reflection. . in one God
Revelation 22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

We looked at them through my brother in laws scope a few years ago, i was amazed at the clarity and how beautiful they were
yea the signs in the heavens are quite cool to view through telescopes, the prices are fairly cheap for even high quality ones, astronomy without boarders sells a 200$ one that’s great for beginners to intermediate gazers.

No - I did not say that - I only associated that to 'where' the stars were.
However...
I consider there to be a reasonably high probability that the stars are actually angels.

I believe the flood no-doubt changed the landscape quite a bit.
The folds would have been produced by a horizontal "push" against it while it was still soft - and then later becoming hardened that way.
In the Bible, the same English word can have different meanings depending on the context.
The classic word discussed here is the word "heaven"
Gen 1:20 heaven is where birds fly, that is the sky we see above us, the first heaven.
Isaiah 13:10 talks about the stars of heaven, so there is where the Sun is located, the 2nd heaven.
And of course, the one that many dispensationalists would know of, Paul talks about being caught up in the 3rd heaven (2 Cor 12:2-4)

It would seem that good as the glory of God. . let their be light as the presence of God. . in that way ended on third day.
His glory has departed when he saw pride in the heart of Satan. .The clock of corruption was switched on. Beginning its count down under the Sun.
