Where are we walking (or running)? How? For what?
• Amo 6:12-13 -> “Shall horses run upon the rock? will one plow there with oxen? for ye have turned judgment into gall, and the fruit of righteousness into hemlock: ye which rejoice in a thing of nought, which say, Have we not taken to us horns by our own strength?
Is our life a weight in the life of people around us or a blessing? In the world, there are politicians, judges, legislators, police officers who make the life more difficult for people through unrighteous laws (exact what the Egyptians did with Israel in Exodus 1:9-11). Of course, this is outright condemned by the Creator:
• Psa 94:20 -> “Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?”.
• Pro 17:20 -> “He that hath a froward heart findeth no good: and he that hath a perverse tongue falleth into mischief.”.
• Isa 10:1 -> “Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed;”.
And the worst is that, many bosses comply with these laws blindly, without questioning, instead of seeking in Christ His justice. If everyone who believe in Christ sought His righteousness and manifest it, certainly this world would be much better.
But, and what about us? How do we convive with people around us (especially our family)? What does it prevail? Laws or patience, pity, grace, love?
Of course, we have limitations, which have to be respected. Nonetheless, most of the people are restrained in their own affections (2Cor 6:12) in virtue of the delights which war in their members (James 4:1). For this reason they created several laws that make difficult or even undoable the approximation and convivence.
May Jesus help us to have many space in our heart for communion with His Holy Spirit and His Church.
So, have a simple, but delightful day making of Jesus and His plans your reason to live, always keeping in mind the following verses:
• 1Ti 6:7,8 -> “For we brought nothing into the world, and it is clear that we can carry nothing out. But having food and clothing, we will be content.”.
• Heb 13:5,6 -> “Let your way of life be without the love of money, and be content with such things as you have, for He has said, "Not at all will I leave you, not at all will I forsake you, never!" so that we may boldly say, "The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do to me.".
• Mat 6:33 -> “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you.”.
• Luk 12:15 -> “And He said to them, Watch and keep yourselves from covetousness. For a man's life is not in the abundance of the things which he possesses.”.
