So, a couple months ago I was dating this guy. It just wasn't a good relationship and eventually God broke us apart. I was hurt at the time, but I've finally started to see that it was for the best. We tried to be friends, but we fought a lot since he was trying to get back together with me and I kept telling him that I wanted a boyfriend that could guide me in my walk with the Lord and that wasn't what he could give me. Long story short, he blew up at me the other day and now he wants to be friends again. I'm willing to try friendship since I feel like there are ways God could use me to bring my ex to Him. But, I'm not sure. I know that we're supposed to forgive and forget, but this boy is honestly running out of second chances. I would love to see him come to know Christ, but I'm not sure how much longer I can take the insanity that comes with having any sort of relationship with him, friends or more. So, I guess what I'm trying to ask is where I should draw the line. When should I say "enough is enough" and let someone else try to bring him to know God?? I really don't know anymore.

Ok, God says we need to be equally yoked. saying you are trying to bring this guy you like to Christ is fine for friendship stuff, but if you're liking someone who has not accepted Christ/is no following Christ then...girl, you need to LEAVE that relationship. You are putting yourself in a bowl with the wrong kind of fish, not ssying he will eat you but, if you know fish, you know some fish get along in aquarium together and some...don't. Best advice: pray to God for help , (The LORD leads) and, I think a affirming leave of the relationship is best, letting boy know you like him, he's cute, funny, but you and he can't make it work cuz you are unequally yoked. God bless you for bringing this to the cc chatwaves. :-)

Thanks for the advice!! You're right about one thing. Some people just aren't compatible and I'm starting to see that. I just don't know how much longer I can deal with this friendship either. The thing is, he's very dramatic and he tends to take things the wrong way a lot. If I say I don't want to be with him, he says that I'm saying I don't want anything to do with him. It's a little bit draining. Oh well. God knows what He is doing and if that means I need to keep fighting, then I will.

I'll tell you where you draw the line with a relationship. When it stops becoming a positive part of your life and its no longer worth trying to fix it. If you truly want a christian boyfriend, then go find one because this guy does not want to be that person and even if he did he would have a lot to learn first based on the way he is acting. Another red flag in a relationship is when one or both start to become unreasonable in their actions or demands.

Yeah, I think you're definitely right. Some more red flags popped up last night and I'm 100% sure now that I'm not meant to be with him.
