In the realm of Christian (ugh!) dating, where do you draw the line, ultimately? How much is okay? Do you date without any touching at all, always having a chaperone with you (never being alone...even when on the phone or chatting online)? Do you believe it's okay to hold hands and hug and kiss? Do you go even further? What do you think is the limit for yourself as a professing Christ follower? I'll share my stands later. :) You can get an idea if you view my Purity, God's Way page on Facebook...but even there I haven't quite broached the subject yet. Just wanting to hear opinions of other believers here. :) Thanks!

Most of the time, those actions are driven by lust and the need to be in a relationship like everyone else. But what you must ask yourself is will God be pleased with my actions? Will my future spouse be pleased with my actions and will it affect her? Will my children be pleased or be affected by my actions? I think if you think about this in such a manner, you will get to the answer. God bless

I believe more in getting to know someone as a good friend first. Good friends do hug sometimes. So that's fine by me. I don't want to kiss a girl unless I know I'm going to marry her. Then I'd be okay with kissing, just not taking it too far . Definitely no sex before marriage.

I totally agree with you niceguyJ.

Having a date may be will make me feel flattered (but tempted to sin) but a friendship make me feel accepted supported and loved everyday so i never go further lol i dont even go into dates :D , but i agree with hug sometimes or hands or touch in the shoulders as friends.

I draw the line at just a kiss on the lips. I'm sick and tired of everything being about what we are NOT suppose to do. If we truly love and respect someone, the consideration for them should be massive.

I know that I've done far worse but if we are talking about lines in the sand this is mine.

God's precepts are too valuable to ignore. It is about the heart and the intention of the mind. I simple kiss has a purpose. Much beyond that and a fuse is lighted that was not meant for anything but marriage.

People light the fuse and then stop it before it goes too far. Never again. We should not play with what we know will destroy us. The weight and consequences of sin is too great to ignore for the sake of whatever thing we come up with in our minds.
