Where does your determination come from?
• Prov 16:33 -> “The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole decision is of Jehovah.”.
Many times, we think that we can do everything by ourselves, regardless the permission of the Creator. Nonetheless, see what the Holy Scripture says:
• Joh 3:27 -> “John answered and said, A man can receive nothing unless it be given him out of heaven.”.
• Jer 10:23 -> “I know, O LORD, that the way of man is not in himself, that it is not in man who walks to direct his steps.”.
• Dan 4:17 -> “The sentence is by the decree of the watchers, the decision by the word of the holy ones, to the end that the living may know that the Most High rules the kingdom of men and gives it to whom he will and sets over it the lowliest of men.’”.
• Joh 19:11 -> “Jesus answered him, “You would have no authority over me at all unless it had been given you from above. Therefore he who delivered me over to you has the greater sin.””.
• Ecc 2:26 -> “For to the one who pleases him God has given wisdom and knowledge and joy, but to the sinner he has given the business of gathering and collecting, only to give to one who pleases God. This also is vanity and a striving after wind.”.
• Prov 16:1 -> “We humans make plans, but the LORD has the final word.”.
• Php 2:13 -> “for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.”.
In everything is the supernatural hand of the Creator:
• Amo 3:1-2 -> “Hear this word that the LORD has spoken against you, O people of Israel, against the whole family that I brought up out of the land of Egypt: “You only have I known of all the families of the earth; therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.””.
The difference is that, to Israel, the Creator revealed what He was about to do:
• Amo 3:7 -> ““For the Lord GOD does nothing without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets. ””.
Let’s see some examples of the work of the Creator in the minimum things:
1 – It is Him who makes two people have an agreement (Mat 18:18-20):
• Amo 3:3 -> “Do two walk together, unless they have agreed to meet?”.
2 – It is Him who nurture the lion (old and young – Job 38:39,40):
• Amo 3:4 -> “Does a lion roar in the forest, when he has no prey? Does a young lion cry out from his den, if he has taken nothing”.
3 – It is Him who provide the food for the hunter (see Num 11:31,32):
• Amo 3:5 -> “Does a bird fall in a snare on the earth, when there is no trap for it? Does a snare spring up from the ground, when it has taken nothing?”.
Although it is the hunter that set the trap, it is the Creator who allow the bird fall (Mat 10:29) and makes the snare to work precisely.
4 – It is Him who protects the city so that the work of the sentinel is valuable (Ps 127:1,2):
• Amo 3:6 -> “Is a trumpet blown in a city, and the people are not afraid? Does disaster come to a city, unless the LORD has done it?”.
The disaster only will come about if the Creator allows.
So, have a good day giving in to what the Creator wish to work in your life and around you. Even if people are against you, abide by what is written below:
• Pro 3:5,6 -> “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”.
• Psa 37:5,6 -> “Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will act. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday.”.
• Prov 16:33 -> “The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole decision is of Jehovah.”.
