Don't get me wrong. I'm just looking for friends that are girls right now. I'm just tired of being alone without friends most of the time. There just aren't really any good places to make friends with where I goto now.

Really just need to learn how to make friends in real life...

Church is the best place I can suggest for you. My church's youngest single female attendee is about 85, but that hasn't stopped me from making friends with many of the young couples in the church, and some of them have become good friends. The closest friend I have is someone I met at the church I worked at and became friends with he and his wife. Even now, separated by 6 hours of drive time, we check in often with each other. He's very comfortable with his wife and I also being friends, and most guys, knowing that your intentions are true and confident in the unity of their marriage would have no problem with you befriending their wife (which is why I'd suggest becoming friends with the couple first, and her after that trust has been established).

Work and/or school are two other obvious ones. You don't have to strike up a conversation on their feelings on the roles of men and women in marriage in your first conversation. Find someone with some similar interests. I used to hit up a Christian dance club with a co-worker as friends. I've also attended many sporting events with a female friend. Simply a matter of finding a connecting point, and that is usually fairly easy in water cooler style conversation.

It is ok to be an introvert. 50% of people are. But being shy means being afraid, for a christian that is wrong.

If you want to overcome your shyness, there are lots of 'painless' techniques for doing so. Check out NLP or the Sedona Method, for example. Using the former, you can work on your self-image to create a more empowered/outgoing you. With the latter, you can let go of all the obstacles to enjoying being around other people...

Have you even tried the internet?

You seem to have a huge focus on finding girls in the real world and through social networks. I will suggest to you that this is not vital. Some people are just not suited to meeting people in the real world - I know I can't do it.

There's lots of girls on the internet.

Well yeah, I'm a lot better with making friends on the internet. But I'm the kind of person where I need to be around real and hang out with real people. Otherwise I'll get lonely...

Well find them on the internet and then meet them in the real world.

yeah mate,

Join a free christian dating site and you too can get emails from hot 20 year olds who realise you are a spiritual giant and just what they are looking for. I get them all the time. Mostly they are from Africa but 2 have been from US and the 1 from New Zealand volunteered the information that she does not do drugs any more. I am 50.

Take it from a lady. It is just as hard to meet guys as it is girls. But I would say yes you could do the internet dating but I have learned anyone can make themself look good in words. I would say the best place that I have meet men is a place I enjoy going ( ie the cofffee shop, bowling, and church). The great thing about meeting people in place you like to be is they are there more and likely because they like that sort of thing too. So you already have something in common it is just over coming the acquireness of engaging in conversation. A great start is intoducing yourself and being yourself. Do not try the korny pick up lines and the jokes. I women respects honesty when it is done with tactfulness. Introduce yourself to her and make small talk, if it does not blossom do not get upset, patients.
