Right, king Nebuchadnezzar acknowledged the God of Israel as the God of gods, and a Lord of kings, after Daniel interpreted his dream, that the king's own men could not, even though they were in to occult type things, and human religion. The king still believed in other gods, but claimed the God of Israel as the greatest of the gods.

After the fiery furnace incident it reaffirms even more to the king the greatness of the God of Israel, calling Him the most high God,and blessed be the God of the three men that were cast in to the fire, and that they changed the king's words, something that would be hard to do seeing his royalty position, for they forsook to bow down to the image that the king made,in favor of their God.

That is when the king made a decree, that every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach,Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill:because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.

Then the king had another dream about the king being arrogant and saying look at Babylon that I have built, when it is God who gives the kingdom to he wants, which the king said it,God humbled him,and then the king realized that it is the God of Israel, the God of gods, that gives the kingdom to who he wants, and the king stayed with that position all the way unto dearh.

His son knew what his father believed, but took the vessels out of the temple of the LORD,and drank out of them praising false gods, and the kingdom was stripped from them and given to the Medes and Persians.

Dan 7:4 The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given to it.

This is Babylon that rode on eagle's wings for king Nebuchadnezzar proclaimed all through his kingdom acknowledge the God of Israel, they had a high revelation of the God of Israel, but his son blew it,and the eagle's wings were plucked, and they were then known as the kingdom of man, which they will never have physical dominion again, but is in the beast kingdom in spirit, for it represents the kingdom of man.

But the fourth person in the fiery furnace was not Jesus, for He was not made known until His birth from Mary, but would still be a manifestation of the invisible God to them, like when God appeared to Abraham in human form twice,it was not Jesus, but a temporary manifestation of God that went back to dust, but whether the king called him son of the gods,or Son of God,he still knew it had to be of the sort for he knew it could of not been a common man,for only three were cast in to the fire, and he knew it had to be the Son of God of the Hebrews God that delivered them.

But it was not Jesus but a temporary manifestation of God,but the king thought Son,for he knows God is greater than that image of a man he saw,but he also knew that image had to be supernatural, that can only come from God,so the king would naturally call him a son of God.

But it is not Jesus for there was no visible image of Jesus until the birth from Mary, and God the Father is the one who always showed a physical manifestation of Himself in the Old Testament.

1Ti 6:14 That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:
1Ti 6:15 Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
1Ti 6:16 Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.

This is Jesus without the visible image of Him,no person can see Him,for He is invisible, and the only visible image of Jesus that would appear on earth,is when He was a human on earth, and not before it.

The king would naturally say Son for he knew it was supernatural, and it is not a reference to Jesus, but another manifestation that same as when God appeared to Abraham twice in human form,to converse with him about having a child, and Sodom and Gomorrah, and as Melchizedek, king of Salem, and priest of the most High God,but they were temporary, and went back to dust, the same as the fiery furnace,it was temporary and went back to dust,or whatever image it was,but it was not a showing up of Jesus.

Wouldn't this be a visible image of Jesus before he came to earth? Joshua fell down on his face and worshipped him... an angel wouldn't allow that.

[h=1]Joshua 5:14King James Version (KJV)[/h][FONT=&quot]14 And he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of the Lord am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, What saith my Lord unto his servant?[/FONT]

How many versions of the Septuagint were there? And if more than one, did they agree? I don't know anything about it, just asking.

Hi, KJV1611!
an example of the lxx in the nt

LUKE 4:17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,

but the kjv of Esaias doesn't say that.

I don't follow you "the kjv of Esaias doesn't say that".

Ahh the he bible and she bible, Ruth 3:15 did they get it right in the second edition of the KJV

Haven't heard that one, what's the issue?

after the initial printing of the first folio edition, second printings made a change on Ruth 3:15 in this verse, the subject of the sentence is somewhat ambiguous, so in the first edition the phrase was rendered " he went in the citie" afterwards, they decided that the subject is meant to be Ruth, changing it to" she went into the citie" therefore, the first edition is known as the He bible and the second edition the She bible.

The KJV is a good translation but of coarse but it went through its flaws and typos like any other bible translation does and probably will have future changes I mean who here owns a complete copy of the orginal edition, the one that weighs around 30 pounds. Most people own a lite version of the complete edition.

One thing I will concede to is printing and spelling errors I do agree they happen. I do own a copy of the 30 pound original.... just kidding. :)

Angels are not called the son of God. :)

Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them.

Job 1:6

Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them to present himself before the LORD.
Job 2:1

...when the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
Job 38:7

For who in the skies can be compared to the LORD? Who among the sons of God is like the LORD?
Psalm 89:6

The Nephilim were on the earth in those days--and also afterward--when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them.

Gen 6:4

right! but Jesus

found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,

Yes, there are many errors in KJV and many other translations, because translators used corrupted massoretic texts for the Old Testament.

Apostles used correct texts, so when they quote the Old Testament in the New Testament, it differs from the English Old Testament translations based on the massoretic source.

There are many errors in quotations form, words missing, even the meaning differences, Christ prophecies censored by Jewish scribals, errors in numbers etc.

And this is, BTW, the fastest way to prove KJV is not infallible :)

My point was THE son of God. If I remember correctly Engish is not your first language so that might not make sense but the emphasis is on THE.

Are you sure that "the" should be in Daniel 3:25?
KJV is the only one translation I found that adds "the".

Is it justified by the original text?

I have always understood this verse like describing somebody of angelic look (it can be either Christ or some angel).

Why do you think "the" should be there?

I have some random thoughts about the Bible.

The Bible is NOT God - God breathed and inspired - yes! The Bible is about Jesus. The Bible is not an end to itself - the Bible speaks of Jesus. He is the reality that the Bible speaks of.

Jesus said this about the scriptures:

John 5:39-40 (NASB)
[SUP]39 [/SUP] "You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; it is these that testify about Me;

[SUP]40 [/SUP] and you are unwilling to come to Me so that you may have life.

The Bible does not have all the answers. It points us to the One who is the Answer.

James never said " If any of you lacks wisdom - you should study the Bible." He said you should ask God. The purpose of scripture is to lead us to complete dependence on God and what He has already one in His Son's work.

God surely does speak to us through the Bible and is profitable for instruction but if the Bible doesn't lead us to a revelation of the One called Wisdom, we will be no wiser than a Pharisee.

Read the Bible with the view to
"see" Jesus! The best "translation" of the Bible is Jesus.

He is the Living Word of God and He is flawless and free of translation errors.

We are totally dependent on the Holy Spirit to reveal Christ to us as Mary was dependent on the Holy Spirit to conceive Jesus in her womb.

You can answer that, did Jesus have a beginning or origin or is he eternal?

Good question.... all I remember the word saying is that "in the beginning was the Word" ..... Since the Bible is a history of the family of Adam... humans on earth, then I assume all that we know for sure is that Jesus existed at least before our world did.

Has he existed as long as God has? I don't think we can say for sure... although there might be scripture that indicates that.

Was there a "need" for Jesus or the Spirit... the other manifestations of God before the earth? We don't know... perhaps. Who is to say that the earth is God's first "project"? Perhaps the angels, and/or the elohim are the saved from previous "projects".... that would make sense to me.. (not that that matters..)

good points, and it's a startled Nebuchadnezzar that's talking... would he know what he's looking at?

DANIEL 3:24 Then Nebuchadnezzar was startled.

He sprang to his feet. He asked his advisers, "Didn't we throw three men into the fire?" "That's true, Your Majesty," they answered.

DANIEL 3:25 The king replied,

"But look, I see four men. They're untied, walking in the middle of the fire, and unharmed. The fourth one looks like a son of the gods."

True!

JOHN 16:12 "I have a lot more to tell you, but that would be too much for you now.
JOHN 16:13 When the Spirit of Truth comes, he will guide you into the full truth. He won't speak on his own. He will speak what he hears and will tell you about things to come.

There are only two Bibles in this universe. The Antioch manuscripts of Syria, where "the believers were first called Christians" and the Egyptian manuscripts of Alexandria and the Sinai. Once you know the differences between these two sources for making Bibles in any language, you will see that there is only one English Bible that has the absolute word of God. In most modern Bibles, about 16 verses have completely disappeared from the New Testament and there are 3,000 differences between the Egyptian and Antiochian New Testament. Acts 8:37 and 1 John 5:7 are two major verses that should make people think twice before endorsing the NIV or many other translations for these verses aren't to be found both in the NIV and many others. Then when you've read Acts 8:37, ask yourself what so many churches differ on concerning baptism. The other 14 verses that are completely gone from these Bibles are listed here: 16 verses missing from the NIV

I have two different bibles at this time. The NIV and a Life Application Study Bible. I like using the study bible because it has all sorts of notes and cross references listed and book overviews. I was wondering does it matter the kind of Bible you use, or is it more of a preference thing?

Trofimus I hope you're starting to see a pattern here. The Jesus in the KJV is not the same as the Jesus in the newer translations.

Jesus in the the newer translations:
- Is the one and only son of God.
- Has an origin.
- Is a son of the gods.

If you're not familiar with the New Age ascended masters then these differences may seem insignificant. But if you are familiar, it's obvious that the newer translations are preaching the Cosmic Christ.

That's just silly. Of COURSE Jesus is the same in the newer translations. You are simply being argumentative. The translators didn't use the words that YOU want, so you dismiss it out of hand....

and, why do we think that the reference to the furnace meant Jesus? It very likely could have meant an angel, or a heavenly being... a "small g" god.... elohim....

Being the son of a "small g" god is not the same as being the son of the most high God "big G God".

Both exist, so the translation "a son of the gods" is very likely exactly the way they intended it.... NOT meaning Jesus. Just an angelic being.
