Everyone believes their view is the “right” one otherwise they’d not believe it. There are at least three or four different views.

His Own who are in vital relationship look for His truth and walk out His guidance.
Outward form Christians lean on their own understanding.

You are so right. There are three major views of the end times; regardless of any variations within these three.

Many profess what ever they have heard, read in a book or were taught by their church but have put little effort into study of the subject for themselves. As difficult of a subject as this is, one should not speak or write in a dogmatic fashion until they have honestly looked into and studied all three positions.

Even after all that, speaking about the subject dogmatically, probably should be avoided because it takes years - decades - to come to an honest and settled position.

What view? I didnt see any view.
According to a lesson outline in an article, The three/four views are
  1. Preterist – The Term Refers To Something That Has Happened In The Past – Preterist Tense Of A Verb (IE. I Go – Present Tense; I Went: Preterite Tense Or Past Tense). The Book Refers To The Events Taking Place During The Writing Of The Book. The Struggle Between Rome And The Church.
  2. Idealist / Philosophical / Spiritual – The Book Contains Principles That Refer To The Church’s Ongoing Struggle With The Evil In The World (Cyclical) And How It Will Triumph.
  3. Historical / Historicist – A Forecast Of The Entire Period Of Church History Between The First And Second Coming Of Jesus. Key Events In History Prophesied Until The End (Roman Catholicism, Reformation, Etc.).
  4. Futurist – The Book Describes Mainly The Events That Will Take Place At The End Of The World. Total Prophecy.

I don't really read scripture with any theological framework in mind; either one already come to, or looking for one. I just read and listen. So I guess for me, I'm not concerned about which one is "right."

I see the letter as written to seven Jewish assemblies in Asia (Western Turkey today). The events could have unfolded in their time contingent upon the nation of Israel accepting the new covenant offered by Jesus. That these events were postponed was a result of the failure of the nation to recognize and receive Jesus as Messiah.

As Genesis 1-3 is the story of the creation of the natural heavens and earth, Revelation is the story of the creation of the new heavens and earth. It encompasses past, present and future.

Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter; Revelation 1:19
It begins with a vision on earth of the one who created, creates and will create all things. Chapters 2-3 are instructions for all of his people throughout the age of the nations on how to grow into the fullness of Chist.

The vantage point then shifts to heaven where John looks back in time to when the ascended son of man (Acts 1:9) received a kingdom from the father and glory from all creation (Daniel 7:13-14). The 7-sealed scroll that Jesus received from that father and then opened reveals God's plan for the creation of the new heavens and earth.

The events in the first 5 seals began at that pont, have continued since that time and will continue until his return. The events of the 6th seal are the short period of years in which the terror reign of the 1st Adam is brought into destruction by the strength of the last Adam; and the 7th seal is the beginning of the new age and rest for Gods people.

The first of the 7 trumpets marks the beginning of the 6th seal, and the 7th trumpet marks the end of the age of the nations, the completion of the temple of God and the return of Christ to earth with his resurrected holy nation that will rule the earth for 1000 years.

Then the final judgment, the new heavens and earth and Christ handing over his kingdom to God, the father, who descends from above to be with his people forever.

Even after all that, speaking about the subject dogmatically, probably should be avoided because it takes years - decades - to come to an honest and settled position.
And even then, there are at least 3 (I think it's more like 10) "honest and settled" opinions.

This is why I do not get into discussions over eschatology..... each person says that they arrived at their conclusion after much prayer and guidance from the Spirit.... and they are all different.

That should tell us something....

and here lies the problem ------the Problem of thinking they are right ==or wrong

There are ---NO RIGHT OR WRONG VIEWS OF SCRIPTURE ------

The Scripture Clearly says it is TRUTH and is GOD INSPIRED ------there is no right or wrong views here cause the Scripture Say what it says ------IT IS TRUTH ----you Either Believe that the Scriptures are TRUTH as it says it is ----OR ---You DON"T BELIEVE the Scriptures are Truth as it says -----

So there is no right or wrong here -----it is all about if YOU BELIEV E__OR DON"T BELIEVE what the Scriptures says ----that the WORD IS TRUTH --

Same as God Inspired ---you either believe what the Scripture says ---or ---you don't believe what it says ----we have free choice to BELIEVE THE TRUTH AND GOD INSPIRED ---OR -----NOT TO BELIEVE IT

Thread Title -----
Which view of Revelation is correct?

The only one who has the Correct View of Revelations is the Bible itself -------you either believe what Revelations is telly you ---or you don't -----Human right or wrong is irrelevant with scripture

Scripture will always give you the right answer if you do your research ---but will you believe it ---or disbelieve it ------that is the Question ??????????????

Amen, because the same Spirit that supposedly guided them, guided them to believe differently, but the Spirit would not guide people to have contradictory views.

So often we view as "either or" when in His view it is often "both and more".
Jesus was born in Bethlehem, was a Nazarene, and came out of Egypt, which seemed incompatible yet all were true.

This may be one of those times when the devil is in the details. What you believe about various doctrines affects your actions.

[Eph 4:4-6 KJV] 4 [There is] one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who [is] above all, and through all, and in you all.

[Isa 30:21 KJV] 21 And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This [is] the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.

RIGHT __OR __WRONG ------THE BIBLE IS ABOUT BELIEF OR UNBELIEF-------

giphy.gif

ANSWER
The Bible is NOT about being RIGHT OR WRONG ---FOLKS ---

it is about Whether you choose to -------BELIEVE OR NOT BELIEVE THE TRUTH OF THE SCRIPTURES---

AI AGREES --FOLKS
The Bible is about
belief, which is presented as the path to salvation and a relationship with God,

and unbelief, which is as a serious sin with severe consequences.

It emphasizes that faith is a gift that leads to a transformed life,

while unbelief is a spiritual condition that can result in spiritual blindness, a hardened heart, and eternal condemnation.

I say ----NO RIGHT OR WRONG HERE with what AI says -----you either BELIEVE IT OR YOU DON'T ------

I SAY _______Blue155, ----should really try to understand that VIEW -------I think ---

SNOOPY ___BELIEVING THE BIBLE ------NO UNBELIEF HERE ----SNOOPY IS A HAPPY DUDE ----JUST BELIEVING

That was a good outline — perhaps a little too good? 😄 Did you use a bit of AI help for that one?
Either way, it’s a solid summary of the main interpretive camps.

Personally, I find the Futurist framework fits the text best, since Revelation 1:19 provides its own structure: “the things which thou hast seen, the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter.”

That verse alone sets a clear chronological pattern — past, present, and future — and mirrors how Daniel’s prophecies unfold: historically grounded, yet pointing toward the ultimate consummation.

Still, no matter which view someone holds, the central truth remains: Christ is victorious, and His Kingdom shall stand forever (Revelation 11:15 KJV).

Grace and peace.

No, which tells me you didn’t read my post, because if you did, you’d have known I got it from a lesson outline in an article.
