The question was generally put, so it wasn't that obvious at all. Another thread already has 'who WOULD you vote for?' That's a question even i could answer, and that way no one is excluded. Even as a dutchman i have an opinion about the candidates. Who the next president will be also effects the rest of the world. But if you want to have a nice all american discussion about who your next pres should be, go right ahead. (As if there is something to chose anyway.)

Wow, kid you're annoying everyone in this thread, work on being more respectable.. You seem to be very hurt by me not including non-Americans in this thread. Look, I'm sorry I didn't shape my question the way YOU would like, please, don't feel isolated or rejected. Put in your to pennies (even though you can't do anything about our situation in terms of who OUR president will be). You obviously are smartest person in everything you enter into, wow, you even know more about our how Americans dialogue than people who live here!

Lol justcuz you should probably do more research if you think being liberal automatically makes you a socialist. Because until then youre just spewing someone elses rhetoric with very little understanding. All you have provided is one sentence answers about being liberal without actually saying why you hold these views, which makes it seem more than likely that it is based on what someone told you and not what you decided.

Yes, but it is also that person's choice whether to share his or her opinion. And many people like to share their opinions. And a chat group is one place to do that.

To my knowledge, no one is forcing anyone to respond.

I admit, it isn't uncommon for a young European to be more aware of current events, politics, etc., than the average American adult. This may be the exception that proves the rule.

For one thing, in English, it is customary to capitalize the first-person singular pronoun. I don't know why we do that, but we do. At least, those of us who know anything about the English language know that.

We, Americans, are an odd bunch of people.
 
Neither candidate will uphold the constitution or biblical principles, so I'll abstain from voting. If there was ever a candidate that would, at the very least, uphold the bill of rights and the constitution honestly and with integrity, I would vote for them.

Obama signed NDAA 2012; that alone disqualifies him in my mind. Romney comes off as another Bush and a lackey of big money, so that's a no. I think I'm staying home this November. The only candidate that ran for president in this race that I would have voted for is Ron Paul.
 
I dont live in the USA so i have no vote but from an outsider looking in i would have to go with Obama ,,,, i knew nothing of Mitt but what i have seen of his interviews on youtube he seems to lose his temper very easy if the interviewer pushs a point ,,,, so from a person from the UK do i really want an angry mormon in the whitehouse i would have to say NO WAY !!!
from what i see there are many many areas he wont he answer the questions ,..... now he is shunning interviews why is that ??? anyway like i say i have no vote as i'm not from the USA ,,,,i think the world could be in for a lot of trouble if Mitt gets in ,,,,,,, its just my view point and i dont expect you to agree ,,,,,but its still my view lol lol

Read any post he makes. You'll notice he never answers anyone questions, just spews unfounded and inflammatory sentiments. I smell troll.

It's too easy to state your opponents in a (politcial) discussion, especially online, are trolls.

The statement above is 100% true. It also does not pertain to the discussion. You will notice that Ugly's accusation of trolldom had nothing to do with whether Justcuz agreed with someone or not, but of the content of his posts. Rather than address the content of his posts, Justcuz switches attention and says, "you just don't like it because you disagree," which isn't the case here, because I think Ugly actually agrees with Justcuz in some of the topics discussed. (Forgive me if I'm wrong, Ugly, but I believe you're a conservative politically, so you would agree with Justcuz in questioning liberal values, correct?)

Once again, ladies and gentlemen, this is a prime example of troll behavior. Please note Exhibit B, and the diversion tactics away from the subject, the use of a statement that is true, and therefore cannot be refuted, and the attention it pulls away both from the topic at hand, and from the subject himself, the Troll.

The fascinating oxymoron and conundrum of troll behavior is, while diverting attention away from himself, he is actually turning the spotlight on himself. Which is why I am really breaking Rule Number One in dealing with trolls here, by responding to the post in any way, shape, or form. So, my sisters and brothers, I do apologize for this post, though I just had to respond, because it is such a PERFECT example. So rarely do we see such a textbook case, I wanted to point out the article for all of us to study. Read it, learn it, live it.

Okay, now back to our grown-up discussion :)

Someone posted on my Facebook yesterday about voting to hae Obama impeached. I am not an Obama supporter, but can someone please tell me what in the world he did for even people to think he should be impeached? Just because people don't "like" him is not a good enough reason. I wonder if people realize this.

He has violated the constitution. He ordered the killing of US Citizens without a warrant or trial.

I actually prefer Obama to Romney. If I had to vote for one of the two, rather than filling in a 3rd-party candidate or choosing not to vote at all, it would be Obama, but I think violating the constitution you swore and oath to uphold could be seen as grounds for impeachment. Certainly more so than anything done with a cigar and a female aide.
 
I can't speak for anyone else but I'm voting for this guy in November.... :D
