Who are your favorite authors?

I enjoy reading classic fiction and would recommend authors such as Willa Cather, Conrad Richter, and Mildred Walker. Do you have any favorite authors?

I read book cause they're books, so I usually don\t go by the Author, theese are some I\ve read several books by though:

Astrid Lidgren (sweedish chidlrens book aouthor)
Anne Cath Vestly (norwegian, best known for her childrens book, but also in general working for kids and people who where not doing well)
Alistair MacLean (action)
Andy McNab (Action/war)
Clive Cussler (Action)
