That's my question to all who read this entry. Really think about it; who has the right to put a label on you? Throughout my life people have labeled me different things, such as fat ,nigger, ugly, smart, pretty, kind. Whether good or bad, they are still labels. Just remember, whoever you allow to put a label on you now owns you.There are three types of people that are able to put a label on something/someone: the maker, the owner, and the purchaser. I don't know about anyone else, but the only label I want to carry is child of God. If I'm holding on to that label, then none of the others matter, right? For He is my maker, my owner and my purchaser,and only He has the right to label be.
 
well I don't see it as "labels" its just someone speaking opinion of you. good or bad.
I can say you have pretty eyes. course that is MY opinion that you have pretty eyes the next person down may say other.

honestly I wouldn't really think about it, its all trivial just be as good of a person as you can be.
 
That´s ok! We classify things and people to get our bearings (not knowing where we´re going from no where).

They said you are those things you´d mentioned, and you´re the only one who know true or false.

Jesus was labelled too. When someone called Him "Good", He said God is the only ONE who deserves that praise. Here, if we are praised, we believed we deserved it (or believe it).

When someone sawe Him with "sinners" they named Jesus friends of prsotitutes, tax collectors and so on (That´s somewhere on the Bible).

Paul said something "good" on the same subject (Here I´m using a label, as visible) and you are RIGHT (another label to show I agree with you) when our concern should be on God´s labels.

Let´s see if, one day, I receive His seal, His label of approval and eternal safety.
 
Just like wisebeardman said" it's an opinion not a label"
To think about it if no one expressed their opinions to us when we were younger how would we know right from wrong? Telling a child they are sad or angry allows them to identify their feelings. Also, Christ can work through poeple if we are willing to listen. For example, if a lot of poeple say you are angry then maybe you should ask why and really take it into consideration that you might be angry.

Do not get me wrong though, sometimes things are said that are not coming from the right place.Those wrong things said let us know more about the individual and I think that it is a good thing that most of us are able to spot out these things out. I know some poeple that can ramble on and on using the worst things to say without realizing how they speak needs to change.

When people say the nasty words I feel like they don't know God. I really hate the N word. I don't like when I hear people call each other that like a nickname. I feel we are all better than to use that derogatory word.
