I thought this would be a good way of lifting people up...either in your life or on this site or whatever...how cool would it be if someone who did not know how much they helped you saw their name on this thread when they googled their name or something?

I have a lot but I will start with this person:

Ethan Crouch--I knew him when I went to Christopher Newport...and I was also at his wedding...and he was really awesome...He would remind people of a college hippy...but then he took a semester off...was approached by some devout Christian...and accepted Christ...the change in him was like light shining full strength after a cloudy day...he put away his rebellious side...and reflected Christ to me like nobody has since...

So may God bless you Ethan!!!!!!!!

And you, the reader, as well
tony

ps. So who reminds you of Christ and why????

You can really tell someone that knows Christ or not by very simple observations.

I am so glad for this. The Gospel is a mystery and he had hid HIS word from fools that only mock it.

God was so smart to do this. I love HIM for it!!!

Like when the pharisees and the Sadducee's tried to trick Jesus with all sorts of trap baited questions and indirect sarcasm and insults. When people do this we can PaWn their evil minds with the Word of GOD every single time.

There is a Earth Angel in my life right now at this very moment. She is nothing short of that.
It's in her actions, not her words. I love this phrase. "You actions speak so loud I cannot hear what you are saying".

I am beyond thankful for this female friend of mine, she is blessed going out and coming back.

She has taught me so much by what she does, not by what she says.

For me? My mom. She faced tremndous hardship most of her life but always faced it all with a joy and faith that all things were good. She gave all that she had to us [ her children,10 of us plus many more] with courage and a trust in God's help. She never thought twice about giving to another in need no matter how little she had, or concern about why they were in need. She also saw all people and us with a love that only saw what was good and what we could be. She passed several years ago, you might say she gave her life for us as she ignored her own health for many years for our sake. I have no doubt that she is in heaven now and in her own words shared at her funeral, I will be waiting joyfully with open arms for the day that all of you join me in sharing God our fathers reward. Godbless, pickles

My husband reminds me of Christ....everyday for the last three years he has gone to a job that he HATES, has worked with integrity, honesty and truth and lives a life that is entirely pure and good - and he does it all to make me happy and to enable me to study and achieve my dreams. He asks for nothing in return than for me to be happy and that to me is real Christ like love. His entire aspiration is for me to be happy and to serve God. He's my hero!

I would have to say a woman in our church her name is Ruby . She has been a devout christian for as long as i have known her *most of my life* ive never heard or seen anything negative about her the one thing that sticks out in my mind constantly is when her teenage son just dropped dead* heart condition i think* i went to her house ,there she sat on her porch...rocking back and forth, cryin uncontrollably, praising God sayin how great and wonderful our God is ..that night will forever be etched in my mind . I only hope to be as great a woman of God as she is ...someday.

There was this guy Steffan that wirked at Water Country USA in Williamsburg with me (there are going to be a lot of people from WCUSA on this thread from me in the future) who was incredible...

He was a sweeper (went around with a broom and dustpan) most of the summer...but he always came to work with a smile and when asked how he was...he would always be like 'amazing, for the Lord has blessed as with another beautiful day..." And he really believed that, you could tell by his contenance and how he said it...and he just made me happy when I was around him...He was also on somre foreign exchange work program from Africa, and he reflecting Christ to me everyday I saw him...

So God bless you Steffan!!!!!

To tell the truth most of the people who remind me of Christ have been girls because of how I am, but I thought I should start with a few guys so that I do not feel overly bent towards girls reflecting Christ more than guys...I still fight that impulse I have had since I was a kid that "guys are evil, save the innocent girls."

and God bless you as well

I can post a lot on here...as I have already said...but this night/morning my heart was stirred to pray for and remember someone I know/knew named Nadia from Russia who worked at Water Country USA (WCUSA)...I have neglected to pray for her lately...
I actually wrote a poem to this girl this night/morning...lol...anyway, everytime I was at work, she was a beloved sister to me...and I never thanked her...and not to ruin the poem, I'll just let you all have it...

This poem is about you Nadia
I remember you, Nadia,
as a beautiful child:
full of grace and love--
overflowing with joy.

I remember how enchanted
your beauty made me;
so rediculuos that I had to laugh--
straight at you, at me, at Christian children.

See, I protected myself from girls,
by staring past their eyes to their souls:
but after glancing into your eyes,
I had to laugh and look away--or be overcome.

I remember the first time I dounced* you with water,
how you came to refresh our hot, thirsty souls:
with cold, delicous water--how thoughtful, how nice,
how after you handed me the cup, I overturned it on your head--how absurd!

And thus began the light and joy you gave me,
for a whole summer, through desert and drought:
your smile lightening and lifting the heavy days,
with light reflecting the very heart of God.

But then, why? when writing sayest I when asked,
"This tis not about you at all"?
as if I would rather throw my heart, my jewels,
to pigs and dogs, who rashly there trampest upon.

I was soooo lost to see you smoke, dumfounded,
I watched you 'hang' with the sketchy and shady crowd:
it broke my heart and thrust there upon,
to watch your lovely eyes haze askance in doubt.

My heart and hand, uncontrolled that day,
gushed out like a waterfall not blocked:
you blazing blithely in front of me,
as if I were not there--as if I too didn't care (for you)...

I snatched the cig from your lips,
and tossed it to my feet:
declaring, " O Lord, Nadia shall not!"
you shall not fall away from God or from me [I need you].

And then like spring, your glow returned,
like a lamp in the dark, or a knit blanket in the cold:
you satisfied my heart and my thirst--
with sooooooooo many overturned cups of water on your head.

*Some english lady said the word like this--meaning to completely drench with water...

I love you Nadia--and may you forever be my sister in Christ...May God bless you always.

And you, the reader, as well
tony

ps...She actually insisted on taking a picture with her next to me and the cup I constantly soaked her with in my hands...
