Well said, mayalady, Yes, God will OPEN that door, but you must first knock and when it opens, GO thru the door. Guys traditionally initiate a relationship, but God CAN indeed put the asking on a girl's heart too. Most often, guy should ask, and, like OnceFell said, the girl can help the guy out by providing clues she wants guy to initiate. And, just have to PRAY instep as you both see this then being God's will.
And, no need to worry, God will not allow you into something beyilond what you are able to handle

Wow what a day to log on after months of no CC. I'm going through exactly this right now, and I don't know what to do besides let God lead. It's very hard for us girls to keep our mouths shut about this stuff, especially the impatient ones like me 
However, I do think it's right for the man to be the initiator. Woman came from man. He was the start of it. The man is supposed to be the leader. Why not start from the beginning?
Women like to drop hints, but those are nothing if a guy is completely oblivious to it. It can be frustrating, but I'll hold out for a bit longer

The Lord leads. I do not have an answer to 'initiation.' I can only say that all things become real in a good way initiated by God and all things become real, in a very, very, very bad way IF Satan is allowed by to initiate by you. That said, God countlessly graces us with His mercy when we fall (sin)..
But, yeah, I agree, almost with you, Maya, let the guy lead , 99.9% of the time God will have guy do the asking. That is why your relationship with God MUST be solid 100% so you can see EXACTLY the will of God making your (proposal) initiation dream come true.

The wrong guy being married to is a very long time of your very short life so far living. Go about your business improving yourself in education of your likes and His scriptures leading you is what I will say to you now but following God's will for your life is sooo hard sometimes but so so so the BEST worth it if you do. God bless your willpower to follow Him, the power of God is so believably great IF you believe . Plan your life with God, for He knew the plan for you before you were born. Psalms 139 and Proverbs 16:3.

Traditionally it is the male role to initiate the relationship (and many other things), but honestly, I don't think it matters. If you like someone and want to be with him/her, then let that person know.
I like the guy to initiate the relationship. Though by the time he does, I've usually made it known, whether directly or indirectly, that I am interested.

Lol No, I have not met the right woman yet. My list of qualities is long but certainly not hard to accomplish. They go something like:
1.Won't totally forget me if I move away for five months.
2. Brunette
3. Makes me pancakes
4. At least has a heart for God and the truth
5. has a big nose (I like Jewish women)
So maybe the last point is a joke, but she better do the third one.
