I ask a question who is willing to die on the cross for Jesus I say it literally ? We know peter died on the cross Paul died on the cross even Barnabas died on the cross , Jesus died for all of us being undeserving of a death an
N innocent slain for us , are you willing at any cost to live for jesus even at a cost of a death of the cross.?

How much money are you willing to give, unconditionally? (and without asking ME what I´m going to do with that money I´m asking you)

Just give him what you've got would you? Seriously I am not afraid to die for Him because there's not much meaning living in this corrupted world anymore but I would pray for a fast and less painful one.
 
But I would say getting back. On topic not many would die for him but few these are his elect his chosen

Honestly, I don't know how to answer this with just a yes or no. Ever since Jesus changed my life, I've really been enjoying my life. A part of me doesn't want it to end anytime soon (other than Jesus coming of course). If someone were to tell me to deny Jesus or be killed on a cross, I would pick not denying Jesus. Would I want to die like that? No, and I pray I'm never put in that type of situation.
 
Yeah, dying on a cross or any other fashion for the cause of Christ would be pretty awesome, but as secularhermit hints, dying years in advance while still alive is probably a pre-requisite for a physical crucifixion except in places where they just shoot you right out for saying "Jesus."
Jesus was crucified by the world around Him, and walked away from whatever it didn't take from Him, and rose from that death before He even stepped out on the scene with His ministry.

It's easy for me to talk about getting shot in the head for Jesus, but helping others at cost of self is right outside my door every day, and much harder to actually do, because the limit of $0.00 in the bank is pretty hard to reach.

OP, if you have no money, you can still give hope and genuine compassion, that's laying up treasure in heaven, and you can take it one person at a time. Or one person period.

The bible, unfortunately, has hinted time and again that those follow Him would die a violent death whether you are willing or not.
 
There is no doubt in my mind that I would not hesitate to be a martyr for Jesus, what an honor and a privilege it would be to die for a greater good and to be in the presence of Almighty God. Nothing better.

...for the others.
For once we are in heaven, we can no longer be of use for God's good purposes here.

But it is okey... You said you are happily married, and it is assumed your wife is happy (and your children) BUT, if you die, will they be so happy you die for Christ?

If you are with no money, but with a family, who is in charge to pay those bills your family probably had?

I deserve nothing from you, sir. Just theorizing! But, am I responsible if I die leaving nothing for my children and wife?

One of my friends, pastor Eduardo has a brother in the prosperity movement. Each time his brother Eduardo have asked him to preach, he always asked money but, firstly, "who wants to die for Christ?".

He is the type of man who usually asks, before giving. I know it before I have worked for him. I have slept in his house, and he was one of my friends, but I left him alone is his materialistic beliefs. Eduardo, his brother, decided not to invite him to preach at the church he is pastoring, because he manipulate the Scripture to get money, and that is the doctrine of prosperity (like that church at Rev 3:17).

My opinion is I don´t want to die. The only day I had a gun in my mouth to blow my head off I pulled the trigger three times and thought about my son Joshua. If I were brave enough (to die) I wouldn´t have pulled the trigger to think well. I wouldn´t have cried, the way I did, and never had bought several gunfires I had at home.

If one person is really "willing to die", she or he is willing to work hard to give their family a roof. If he loves his wife, he works hard to dress her, to nurture her with love and the stuff she thinks she needs and, in my personal case, I know no wife is happy penniless, borrowing money from their parents or friends to give any food her children (or unemployed husband).

No problem!

If any here said: "I want to die for Christ" he has to go to the muslims, to the jungles to prove himself he could be lying and, much more than saying anything, not the truth, if any person is UNWILLING TO GIVE HIS/HER TITHE, how could he/she be willing to give his/her cherished life? (Luk_11:42 Heb_7:4)

That was only my point! If I´m unwilling to give simple things, even money or a smile, I´m unwilling to die for Christ.

The Bible does say we'd be persecuted and hated by the world. However, the Bible certainly does not say that all followers of Christ will die a violent death, nor does the Bible say that if one does not die a violent/horrible death at the hands of the haters that the individual is not a follower of Christ or not saved.

I know that I would, but I would be extremely nervous about the pain involved in the crucifixion.

I would love to be a martyr, but thinking of the pain, which is only human, that would scare me. I'd still do it for Him though.
 
read the accounts daily of people killed or tortured for Christ.
i don't think they enjoyed it much.
but they are safe now.

I've heard of people who were burned singing hymns and glorifying God. I imagine it is not an immediate joy for everyone but we should count it an honor and believe that the Lord will strengthen us to endure it if we are His faithful servants.

I have two little sores I have to clean each day, my self, and I regret receiving an injection of 10 cc daily, during my medical treatment of Leishmania. It hurts my mind I clean my flesh as I were removing sins out of my veins It´s disgusting to see them and my button is recenfly of this ailment... I just imagine being nail! No wonder they gave crucificted people a kind of drug to avoid the mental pain.

Even more difficult than a one time death is living each day denying oneself...

Tit 2:12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age,

Rom 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
Rom 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Bringing every thought into captivity...

2Co 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.
2Co 10:4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,
2Co 10:5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
2Co 10:6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.
