Gen_14:18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.
Psa_110:4 The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.
Seems to be both a person and an "order". This may hint at some sort of post-flood method of communication to people about God.

Gen 18:1 And the LORD appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;
Gen 18:2 And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground.
Gen 18:33 And the LORD went his way, as soon as he had left communing with Abraham: and Abraham returned unto his place.
God appeared to Abraham in the visible image of flesh along with 2 of His angels.
This was a temporary image of God from the dust of the earth.
Gen 19:1 And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;
Gen 19:3 And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.

The 2 angels went to Sodom to test the city to see if there was any righteous there and if so God would not overthrow the city.
The men of the city compassed Lot's house wanting Lot to bring out the 2 men to have sex with them.
Lot offered his 2 daughters which they refused.
The men were in one accord supporting the act which then God knew there was no righteous there and overthrew the city.

Gen 14:20 And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.
Melchizedek was a temporary image of God in flesh from the dust of the earth.
Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Joh 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
Rev 4:2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.
Rev 22:3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him.
Jesus is a permanent image of God in flesh which is a glorified body now.
If people understood the meaning of right hand they would understand that Jesus is not on a throne next to the Father and the only person we will see is Jesus.
Heb 7:1 For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;
Heb 7:2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;
Heb 7:3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life;
but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.
Melchizedek a visible image of God was made unto the visible image of Jesus who is our High Priest of a better covenant than the Old Testament.
But Melchizedek was a temporary image of God that went back to dust.
And Jesus is a permanent image of God which is His visible image to the saints.
