It seems like you underestimate the general parental tendency towards protecting children from porn. That parents would protect kids from porn at all also means they understand in some way its negative influence on human beings. Adults are more likely, of course, to derive pleasure from porn, but it doesn't take away from the fact that adults are also more likely to percieve porn in a more adult manner than children. If there is such a thing as using pornography responsibly, adults are more inclined to it.
