They are also the ones the News Media gives the most air time to.
The rich candidates know the members of the news media. That's just natural. A lot of the prominent news media actually come from affluent families. When I lived in NYC, I worked for a corporate law firm with many senior partners who come from old money. And I did know of at least one senior partner who's son works as part of the news media.

Even Anderson Cooper of CNN is the son of Gloria Vanderbilt.

The Presidential Candidates who win are the ones who are given more air time to. Yes the news media elite select the candidates for President.

Where are you going with this thread? It's like you want to lead us into agreeing to your own conclusions.

It would seem that, but then Trump was intentionally hated by the media and also didn't attend any of the primary debates, allowing his opponents much airtime and the benefit of getting the mainstage to make their case as alternatives to him, yet he won the elections in a massive landslide, for the GOP it comes down to what the people want even in spite of the media's influence. For the democrats in spite of even the rigged nature of their primary election, the media influence prevailed as many of them are within the democrat party's elite class in appointing Kamala to the presidency without any election whatsoever after they saw Biden totally melt down.

The news media loves Trump; they give Trump more air time than anybody.

Nah they don't love him, they love to hate him maybe, and that's an important distinction.
The elite news media is and has always been Trumps biggest support. Without the news media Donald Trump would not be very popular right now.

Nah, despite the media's best attempts to sabotage him Trump's strength is the support of the people. Double that considering this time around both Trump and Kamala have already been in power for a term each and so we know what we're going to get with either one.

The media strengthens Donald Trump by giving him air time.

The media doesn't love Trump. But the media wouldn't give him so much air time if people didn't love watching Trump so much. The more people watch, the more companies would want to purchase air time to advertise their products and services on those stations. The more money those stations get.

Even in this argument lately Kamala has been talked about more and besides just time and coverage, been given favorable princess treatment. Yet both are not really availing her, in fact if anything she is rapidly falling to pieces in front of our eyes, The media will hate being under Trump but they will also love to hate him, this is true, but again, that's a very fine and important distinction between the media outright bagging for you.

Who in the parties chooses who will be nominee to potentially become President of the United States of America?
I hear the sound of grinding of axes.

If you want to say the presidential candidates are chosen by the rich and powerful, just say it. There's no need to try to be disingenious. It only wastes time and internet ink.

The ballot in my state has seven names to chose from for president and seven for vice president.

In the end, the political parties select them. Each party has it's own rules.

Yes, they kept RFK....I called that a long time ago. My theory is they wouldn't remove him bc they would have to create more fraudulent ballots (which were already filled out). They did exactly as I said.

Even though he fought it in court and wanted it removed. How can you keep someone's name who doesn't want to be president?

Why is it that the rich are more likely to become a Presidential Candidate?
You can only become president if you're rich. They raise millions of dollars for a 6 figure salary. Make it make sense!!

But then... even you consider inside trading and such, no one leaves with 6 figures.
