Who sturdy is your love? Is it genuine?
• Pro 19:22 -> “What is desired in a man is steadfast love, and a poor man is better than a liar.”.
• Rom 12:9 -> “Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good.”.
If we are steadfast in love, we won’t have any problem to abide by what Jesus said:
• Mat 5:44 -> “But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,”.
On the contrary: we will be elated to live by this. After all, the enemies are more beneficial to us than the friends. I know that this sounds odd. Nonetheless, where did Jesus prepared our banquet?
• Psa 23:5 -> “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.”.
And no wonder, once the more we forgive, the more we will be loved and the greater is the grace that Jesus pour down on us:
• Rom 5:20 -> “Now the law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more,”.
And, of course, the greater will be our award.
See the parable of the minas:
• Luk 19:16-19 -> “The first came before him, saying, ‘Lord, your mina has made ten minas more.’. And he said to him, ‘Well done, good servant! Because you have been faithful in a very little, you shall have authority over ten cities.’. And the second came, saying, ‘Lord, your mina has made five minas.’. And he said to him, ‘And you are to be over five cities.’ “.
The greater the capacity of loving of the servant, the greater was his attainment and the greater was the authority that he conquered.
So, if your love is real and steadfast, have a good day welcoming with alacrity all the problems that Jesus brings to you and being more than conqueror over them (Rom 8:37) and a source of solace for people that are suffering around you (2Cor 1:3-5; 1Peter 5:8,9).
