Jude 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
It appears they committed a greater sin then Satan himself, were these the Angles in Genesis 1:1-2,4
1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose .
4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

Well there were the 'right' angles, then there were the 'obtuse' angles both of which weren't straight.
Oh, you are a senior member now, so expect these type of tangential responses :p

There are especially a lot of obtuse angles. And some are cute. (Acute.) As to your question, there are those who would scoff at the idea of spirit beings being able to physically procreate with human beings. Not that we should necessarily pay heed to scoffers. They come in all stripes and at you from every angle. The thing some would say is that the sons of God were the progeny of Seth and the daughters of men were wicked descendents of Cain. The Bible gives us no reason to believe that angels have a gender or are able to reproduce.

Lol I think you mean Genesis 6, not Genesis 1.

Aside from that, yes that seems to be the only possible event within the Bible that the letter of Jude could be referencing. Indeed it was bad what those angels did, but I still think what the dragon did was worse. Nevertheless, nothing to be too worried about since we know from letter of Jude where the fallen angels of Genesis 6 now reside.

An angel means messenger of God. Not everyone referred to as an angel has wings and a shiny gown. The ones referred to in Jude 6:1 are Israelites who came out of Egypt with Moses. A group of them left their habitation, and left God. They were lucky to be born as Gods people, that gave them an authority over Gentiles, but they left all that, and will go to hell as a result.

The ones in Genesis are referring to the sons of God- humans. As God's people we are his children. But these men married outlandish women because they found them attractive. They were supposed to marry other Israelites. They sinned, and as we know, sin creates a big problem. And since things were done physically in the Old Testament, the big problem had to be demonstrated physically. So unto these sinners were born giants, so giant that they seemed like grasshoppers when compared to their size.

(Glad I don't have to change them diapers!)

There were no Israelites until after Abraham.

They could also be an ancient British tribe that were around the same time as the Saxons.

Lol funny enough I was pondering this play on words, though I thought those were Anglos, so decided to resist that play on words. Though now that you have gone and done this I suppose I must word play.

Angles, that's the communist guy that was friends with Marks right?

I believe the sons of God were created beings (or fallen angels) cast to the earth. Enoch 6:1 says there were 200 of them. Here's a link;
Sons of God and Daughters of Men - Genesis 6 - Here a little, there a little - Spirit Realm

Remember though book of Enoch is not canon. We don't need book of Enoch or the pharisee Josephus or the greeks to know Genesis 6 is talking about fallen angels. The point can be collaborated within the Biblical canon from Genesis 6 itself, Job 1 (which confirms sons of God are angels), Jude 1 (which tells us their fate), and 1 Corinthians 11 (a curious verse with verse 10.) Also Revelation 12 which is yet to happen, but since the end of time will be like the days of Noah also collaborates to the point.

To know who the Angels in Jude were, you do have to start in Genesis 6. The "sons of God" (bene elohim) that are spoke of in Gen. 6 are not the line of Seth or some other thing, they were angels. These angels were members of the 1/3rd that rebelled against God with Lucifer. These angels set aside their rightful place with God, and instead chose to take human women as their wives. The offspring of these relationships were the nephilim. These are the strong and great men that are spoken of in Gen 6:4. Men such as Goliath and his brothers.

It is my belief, and I believe I can support it, that these fallen angels did this in an attempt to corrupt the human blood line to stop the birth of the prophesied Messiah. Knowing that the Messiah must come from a pure line, the angels thought that if they could completely corrupt the human genome that the Messiah could not be born to a purely human female. This would mean there would be no Messiah, and thus Lucifer and his team would win.

However, when God saw how bad the contamination of the human genome had become due to the breeding with angels he found a man perfect in his generations (Noah) and cleansed the earth with the flood, ridding it of the blood lines of the angels.

Once again, though, the angels made another incursion and began breeding with human women. This led to more impure blood lines. These blood lines are the populations that God told Joshua and his men to destroy after they left Egypt. If you think about it that way, it makes total sense why God had them kill everyone, even the women and children. The impure angel blood lines had to be destroyed in order for a lineage to produce the Messiah.

So, in answer to your question, yes, I believe the angels in Jude are the same angels as Gen. 6.
