I downloaded that album a little while ago because I couldn't find any hard copies anymore. It's a great album. There's a lot of raw emotion in it.

I know for a fact I'm more metal than most people in southwest michigan. And, as far as I know, I'm the only one with any remote interest in underground metal and the christian unblack. I've got nothing to prove.

Oh and FYI, Jason Newsted is straight from a city about 45 minutes from where I live, it doesn't get much more metal than that!

The older, the better I say. People had way more talent back then. More emotion (like Zaoman said). My guitar teacher was an old Blues guy and I lived with a 70+ year old musician for 5 years. And my mom raised me off of nothing but oldies for 16 years. I love old music. I have great taste.
