Why are we called “house of prayer”?
Many times, we don't get familiarized with praying. We are used to relying only in praises and meditating on the Holy Scripture for some minutes. We resent praying and not hearing any answer. But did you already consider researching how much time Jesus and the prophets spent in prayer (see, for example, Psalms 25.5; Daniel 10.3; Habakkuk 2.1)?
There is no point praying only for compliance. We need to seek out to find out and take in the will of Jesus for us (Ephesias 5.16,17). Consider two things:
Perceive that is “house of prayer”, and not “house of preaching” or “house of praising” or “house of miracles”, etc.
Consider observing that the disciples didn’t ask Jesus “teach us to preach” or “teach us to praise” or “teach us to walk over the sea”, etc., but “teach us to pray”. Here we see that praying was the specialty of Jesus. And certainly, the prayers of Jesus was so wonderful that lead the disciples to ache for learning how to do them.
Base your life on this and have a wonderful day in Christ Jesus, having always in mind: “If you never thank Jesus after every smile, then you have no right to blame Him for every tear.”.
- “Evening and morning, and at noon, I will pray and cry aloud; and He shall hear my voice.” (Psalms 55.17).
