Why as a believer I do not celebrate Christmas or Easter With the Rest of the World

The amount of whiners here over the fact some people enjoy celebrating christmas. Seriously get over yourself. No one is going to suddenly just jump up and agree with you. So how about quit flooding the forums with your anti-holiday cheer and just let people enjoy the season?
 
I likes and if one notices Christ Mass is a Catholic thing.....smh he that has an ear let him hear what the spirit has to say

Maybe you need to go back and look again. Everything that glitters and sparkles isnt gold. Praise is to adore and love. Not to celebrate. They might have similar meanings but mean 2 different things

celebrate definition Merriam Webster

: to do something special or enjoyable for an important event, occasion, holiday, etc.
: to praise (someone or something) : to say that (someone or something) is great or important
: to perform (a religious ceremony)


 
Really a mans definition? Use your spiritual side if you read the Word younshall see to praise does not mean celebrate otherwise God would have used them interchangeably. He states that we praise and worship not celebrate and worship. Like I said they may have similar meanings but mean two diffrent things. God doesnt make duplicates he is very precise and direct about his word.

I read the KJV and it does not state that they celebrated. It just says they played their instruments before the LORD...Apparently we are reading from 2 diffrent versions

Maybe you should quote some scripture and quit whining after all this is a bible chat forum. If you don't like discussing the bible and or the truth maybe you should find a different site to go. Funny how it's ok for you to mouth somebody for what they believe, but I can't voice my view under my rights as an American citizen not to mention the fact that I made it very clear that I do not judge those who practice the holiday. I have a better idea..buy some glasses and re-read my original post!

Amen and I must say Amen. It is rather unfortunate that the world we live in doesn't want the full truth and nothing but the truth. It kind of reminds me of when Moses came down from the mountain and had to veil his face as the people could not take the full glory of God as given in his law unto Moses, and unto this day it states that "they remain veiled" and will not recognize until the day they look upon him whom they pierced. What a shame.

Your kidding right? I don't believe in "scoring" points with God, but I will tell you I believe making a stand on truth is acceptable, nay, required and commanded by God. You do what seems right in your eyes and see how far that takes you mi amigo.
 
I would wish you a mnerry christmas but it seems pointless. I just hope you arent ruining childrens lives with your blind legalism.

You have to both not give nor accept presents if you want to legitimately not celebrate.

Blind legalism..HAHAHAH that's is so laughable. How about a biblical stance on proven truth and if you want to wish me a merry Christmass then give her beans captain. Speaking of little kids, go ahead and give them Santa and all the added baggage that comes with Santa, and when they reach the age when they realize that it is all a lie don't expect the to believe the same story about some dude called Jesus who has all of the same taught about him. You know Jesus, Paul as well as others found in the bible would be to LEGALISTIC, HARSH, and RELIGIOUS for the pastor-ship of most churches today as swallowing camels is a whole lot easier than eating a gnat! WOW!

and rebuke everyone who wishes you a Merry Christmas.
kick down all the christmas trees; smash down the idols.
go into the churches and take their christmas hamper boxes wrapped in colored paper.
lobby the govt to abolish the day, and all lights and decorations.
