I'm going through a very tricky Separation with my husband of 18 yrs. Tricky because there is mental health involved. Unsupportive family involvement, and a whole lot of "church" folk who are much more toxic than any other non believers I have ever met......I crave the support of those around me who just want to be real about life. People who truly know the Lord and value honesty.....
Is it hard for some of you to say the right things, for fear of what others may think?? Do you fear men? Or God?
I don't want anyone to come on here and say "what seems right", I truly want to know what your thoughts are on speaking the truth in tough situations

Without knowing a thousand details in a complicated situation like this I would say:

* Pursue your own happiness
* Ignore judgmental and toxic people.
* Put God first.
* Be fair and forgiving.
You have freedom in forgiveness but you will be bound in “hate”.

I am sorry to hear this.

There's a reason why I chose the username "keepingthingsreal." As far as potential support is concerned, that depends upon the situation. If support is warranted, then I am very supportive. If correction is warranted, then I am willing to go that route as well.
People who truly know the Lord and value honesty.
I am one of those people.
Is it hard for some of you to say the right things, for fear of what others may think?? Do you fear men? Or God?
No, it isn't hard at all because I truly fear God, and not men.
I don't want anyone to come on here and say "what seems right", I truly want to know what your thoughts are on speaking the truth in tough situations.
I have no problem speaking the truth in tough situations.

So far, it seems as if you are looking for certain qualifications in a person that you might speak to and/or converse with. Do you have an actual inquiry? If so, then I would like to hear it.

Depends on the subject and the audience. Sometimes it's better to say nothing. Telling lies is not the answer either. Having been in a similar situation, I know what church people can be like. It simply was not worth me telling my side of the story and hardly anyone one wanted to know.

I had one Christian friend who supported me in a terrible time of my life. One thing my friend said stuck with me. He said that I never bad mouthed my ex and that is why he helped me. He knew us both and would have helped my ex if she'd asked. He was a rare breed of man.

"Is it hard for some of you to say the right things, for fear of what others may think??"
Yes indeed. I have left Twitter, Image Flip, Reddit, Gab, and even this for a month or two, because of people who hurt me so bad I didn't think it worth going back. The reason I came back here, though, is that God made me a voice and I can't bear the burden associated with not using my gift.

I have learned things along the way though. I have learned that not everybody is worth answering - Jesus said not to cast our pearls before swine, even those who aren't swine aren't always people I am called to, and with these in mind I have learned that I don't have to answer everyone even if they ask. So far my return has gone well, but I'm always afraid of the other shoe dropping. I don't think we can fully insulate ourselves against all hurt, especially when there is an enemy who is looking to destroy us, but I would rather have some wounds that need healing than to have to recognize that I didn't speak the truth to somebody who I could really help.

I'm sorry to hear about your difficult situation. For you I suggest asking who are you really called to, and also recognizing that sometimes it's okay to speak because you want to, but you should always consider what the other person really needs and if they are worth it.

I believe that Jesus taught us two very important truths. He was definitely recorded speaking truth in tough situations. But there were times He also remained silent. So I suppose it takes discernment to know when, where, and how to do it.

Amen.

Speaking the truth in love is never going to be easy because we have an adversary, Satan, who is both a liar and a murderer. He will see to it, time and time again, that we face opposition, and quite often that opposition will come from those who profess to be Christians.

I have reached the point where I no longer even consider what others might think about what I have to say. Instead, I keep my focus vertical as opposed to horizontal. In other words, if God is pleased with what I have to say, then I am pleased to say it...no matter what human backlash I receive, and I receive plenty. Ultimately, no servant is above his master. Jesus constantly faced opposition for telling the truth, and we will too. That is just the way that it is. God forbid that any real Christian should remain silent in order to skirt the opposition of wicked men and women. If we will not speak on behalf of God, then who will? Of course, we need to be sure that what we are speaking is truly coming from God or originating with him. Should we ever speak anything that did not truly originate from him, or anything that is in opposition to his word, then we need to humbly repent and apologize to any offended parties.

Our propositions should always be truthful, but there are many many ways to go about saying a thing.
Sometimes we shouldn't speak at all.
It's very situational.

Some people don't want to hear the truth. Its like juvenile who throws several rocks through window of several neighbors. When those neighbors, and cop confront the parents, and kid. The parent might defend there kid, and deny the truth. Won't take responsibility. Its sinking deeper into insanity.
Jeremiah 30: 14. All thy lovers have forgotten thee, they seek thee not, for I have wounded thee with wound of enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the multitude of thine iniquity. Because there sins increased.
In society today, lot of people turned there back on God. Selfishness is main reason. Lot of churches, and Minister's teach traditions of men, and distort God's word. Any wonder why some people are spiritually dead, lack of knowledge of God's word.

Kids showing disrespect to elders and other kids. Some adults act immature, and despise those who are righteous. Drugs, murder, stealing, many false teachers, sodomites, abortion. We reached the point of insanity. World is degenerate and no moral compass.

30:16. Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured. And all thine adversaries, every on of them, shall go into captivity . And they that spoil thee shall be spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give as prey.
When Jesus returns 7th trump, the tables will be turned. The milliumum is time of teaching, and discipline. The false teachers go into the pit. At end of the milliumum, Satan will be let loose season to test people. The Reprobates will follow Satan to destruction. Many people will stay loyal to Jesus and find eternal life.
30:17
For I will restore health unto thee, and will heal thee of thy wounds, says the Lord. Because they called thee a out cast, saying This is Zion, whom no man seeks after.

The world is off doing there own things. Some people don't care about God or his truth. They rather listen to false shepherd's. Those who come to there senses, God will use them, and protect them, Christian people. Those who repent and serve God are going in opposite direction of the world. When you feel like no one gives damn about you. Jesus cares about you. God chastises only those He loves.

Hebrew chapter 12:8.
But if ye be without chastisement, where of all are par takers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

Those outside of God's will, Jesus won't chastity. These are Reprobates. They won't repent and they hate Jesus and the righteous. Those who have Holy Spirit, will be convicted of sin and repent. This group, if any get out of line or mess up, Jesus will corrupt them on individual basis. Kiss the paddle and say thank you for that Jesus. Our Father deserves our respect and dedication. We hold our selves accountable, or Jesus will do it on judgement day. They can run from Jesus now. But theres no where to run to when Jesus returns 7th trump. Peace.

"Corrupt"? Do you mean "correct"?

Honestly, speaking the truth in hard situations is tough, but I try to foucs on what God wants, not what people think. Sometimes it’s about saying things gently, and other times, staying quiet is wiser. Praying you find strength to handle this, it’s not easy, but you’re not alone.
