Listen friends, in 1 John 2:15 it says, "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him." Therefore, we are in error when we think we can bring the world into the church through secular music. Blessed are those who read this and learn from it.
Why are Christian Rap, christian Rock, and other unholy musics ungodly and they take to destruction?
"But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication." -Revelation 2:14
Whom does this genres belong to? Satan has successfully infiltrated many churches today, most in fact. All across the world, especially in America, churches today are saturated with ignorance, demonic music, and doctrines of devils. You didn't find any false teaching until today? And you have been just living thinking that false teachings are not here yet? Ahh no please! There's a spirit of deception that even the elect ones may not discern easily. I am not speaking this to condemn, but I speak to you with Love. I am not trying to be self-righteous.
1. There's no way we can mix the things of the word with the things of God. The style of the world belongs to the world and not christians. read, ..2 Corinthians 6:14 - "Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness? 15Or what harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever?…". No rap, no rock and metal was in the church at first. David correctly pointed out how we should praise God and sing to him.
I dare you to go to ANY so-called "Christian" rocker or rapper's website and show me the simple plan of salvation, the Gospel of Jesus Christ. You cannot! The reason is because they are of the world, and the world follows them. James 4:4 plainly teaches that to be "a friend" of the world is to become God's enemy. Satan has invested much time in making Christians conform to the world, even in music that encites the spirit of emotionalism instead of the peace of God.
People are thinking that it doesn't matter and they're deceiving themselves and God is not happy with such kinds of musics because he has given us his own way of praising him. There are things that belong to light and that belong to darkness. The same way Rap and rock doesn't belong to the Church because it represents the evil world. You can't make hip hop holy!
2. It is the representation of the evil world. Remember, rap is the one of the best genres in the music industry and Christians got deceived to bring rap into the house of God when they felt that it's good and pleasing to the ear and the devil is trying his best to deceive the Children of God in a way no one can understand. The secular music singers belong to the devil and so does their music genre and style. That is why we do not see them using our worship and singing style, it doesn't work for them. It's never right to do wrong in order to get a chance to do right. It is wrong to use demonic music to draw worldly youths into church. If they come because of Jesus they'll live because of Jesus but do not even think of bringing the youth to the Church because of the music style and lies of prosperity. Jesus is better than all of those things!

There are many false spirits gone out into the world. They are the Anti-Christ. Any thing that takes attention away from God and places it on anything but God does not come from the Father.
There are limited people who defend this fact and you can call us religious but this is not religiousness. How is discerning deceptions religiousness? That's wrong!
And if you say Jesus wants us to live in freedom, this is not freedom. This is being yoked with the things of the world anyways. I know many people who say freedom and do whatever they want even ministers who secretly do ungodly things. Then what is did Christ die for them? It was to separate them from every sin and that freedom is not a freedom to sin but a freedom to conquer the sin that holds us!
