Why did God create Humans ?

Another question for open discussion

Why did God create Human kind.?

When i first heard of God / Jesus in a Youth Group they taught God created humankind as he wanted fellowship with a species that had free will

I of course read the bible and it soon became apparent that the Angels that God created first already had free will. eg Lucifer chose to disobey.

So why?

I still not sure why , so happy to hear peoples thoughts.

For fellowship.
This is my understanding.
How’s our fellowship different from the angels in relation to God?

I’m not sure of the technical details but some interpretations say that Luficer did not want to bow down to the idea that humans were God’s favorite creation - which is why it lead him to be prideful and rebel.

That's interesting I've never heard of that theory. I was under the assumption that becuase lucifer was closest to God he Got prideful.

I agree with the fellowship. He has fellowship with angels too. That doesn't mean he wouldn't want people. He wanted a family so he created one.

Unfortunately his children do not listen very well so he sends us here... like going to school. 😆

Looking at it from God's eyes he literally gets to experience life through his creation which is probably very fun when you're an eternal God. It's cute to watch our own kids and he gets to actually see everything from our point of view. All the ups and downs. He gets to live through and teach us things.

"Listen to me, descendants of Jacob, all you who remain in Israel. I have cared for you since you were born. Yes, I carried you before you were born. I will be your God throughout your lifetime—until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you."

The things that are not so pleasant obviously was Jesus dying. Why go through all of that? Idk other than he is love and must have seen that the end justified the means in some way only he would know.

I've heard of the we're the favorite ones as well. Only problem is Roman 2:11 For God does not show favoritism.

But that doesn't mean Lucifer didn't think we were the favorite if angels were told to protect and watch over us. 🤔 Even though the only reason they had to was because of Lucifer, essentially. Ironic.

In order to bless them with Edenic life (Gen.1:28).
In order to bless them with heavenly life (John 3:16).
