Tamar, Rahab, Ruth and the Gibeonites DECIDED to NOT miserably fail the way that the evil servant, the wicked and lazy servant and the 5 foolish bridesmaids did.

And YES, all four do in fact tie in to those parables as well. Different time, difference place, different dispensation (for lack of a better term). But they all are HONORED by God as making the wise choice.

To up my game I read the words of Jesus and meditate on them everyday they give me hope and keep me sane in this world, they give me focus and purpose. His words are clear and easy to understand. I have stopped reading or listening to sermons as they never provided me with solace or encouragement, Only Jesus can do this for me.

When I have read this verse the one that always came to mind for me is Proverbs 26:13, The slothful man saith, There is a lion in the way; a lion is in the streets. In other words he is making excuses.

I have myself never found him saying that the the Lord reaps where he has not sown as a lie. I find that is the reward of our God. Especially when it comes to us. First example I would cite is Israel. He let them know he was giving them as an inheritance homes they had not built, land they had not plowed or sown, fruit they had not planted.

So I have read these verses in Matthew the same concerning our inheritance, not unlike Israel's. That during the millennial reign when we reign with him. That our inheritance would be the same receiving what we had not built.

Just as he had parted as an inheritance to his, what the wicked had built. What was the wicked nations in Canaan, he parted into the 12 tribes. So I have always read this rather literally that when Christ is come all that the wicked world has built he will portion it to his as they rule and reign with him.

So I have taken these verses to mean because we were faithful in a little that we would receive cities or districts or however Christ breaks it down during the millennial reign. Anyway all that to say since the Lord does give to his, what they have not built. I never found the statement the wicked servant said as a lie but just an excuse since he is lazy.

This is just the tippy tip top of the iceberg. An iceberg the size of Greenland.
These lectures are dynamite. And resoundingly Biblical.
Be prepared to be shocked and staggered when you realize that you have never heard sound exegetical treatment of these passages.
And how priceless the treasure locked within.

You will need 5-6 hours of review for starters. Then 20 or so hours to get a good grasp of the topic. And then hundreds more (actually more like infinity) to master the material.
