I agree the main reason people are caught in other religions is because no one has told them about Jesus.
"How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?" Romans 10:14
It is really sad when in a Christian forum, the majority of people do not realize that Jesus wants us to be on mission with him, and that his last command, repeated in both Matt 28:18-20 and Acts 1:8 is to go and make disciples in ALL the world.
"And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matt 28:18-20
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." Acts 1:8
So much talk about how we should love each other. But God's love extends to the lost. That means if we are not going to the lost, we need to be praying and supporting those who do go.
How many of you support missionaries?
How many of you pray for those missionaries?
How many of you pray for workers for the harvest?
That is the heart of the gospel. Gospel is euangelion in Greek and means "bring good news, preach good news." We have sorely failed to BRING that good news to those who are Hindus and Buddhists and Muslims. Or is everyone hoping someone else will do their job for them??
"And he said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest." Luke 10:2
"Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, then comes the harvest’? Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and see that the fields are white for harvest" John 4:35
