Why do you think God created cats?

I think God created cats to entertain the humans, cause God wants us humans to be happy.

I know God loves cats just as much as a lot of us humans.
 
I thought the same thing about dogs and reptiles... maybe its because He just wanted to do it
 
Because He could, because He wanted to, because he figured we would like them :)

God does things for reasons. They are done to convey a spiritual concept, by using His creation
which will be easy to grasp. God gave man, two primary animals, to teach man a spiritual
lesson.

The Dog - The dog was given to man to show man's unrepentive, unsaved nature. If
anyone has had dogs, you will know they love to stink. You give them a bath, and they'll
find something that stinks and roll in it. This stink is a picture of man's sinful nature.
Man will seek out sin and dive in it. Dogs are covetous also. Give a dog something to
eat and he'll fight you over it. Dogs wont share. This is a picture of man's greed and covetous.
"It's my stuff and I want what that guy has."

The Cat - The cat was given to show man's saved state. A cat bathes itself, a lot. This
is to remind man he needs to have a repentive mindset. Cat's aren't covetous animals.
You can feed several cats together and if they know one another, they'll all find their little
spot at the food and eat. A cat will also catch a small mouse and leave it at your door.
This is to remind man that he needs to share what he has with others and to provide
for the needy.

Both animals convey a spiritual reminder, of the same thing, but with different approaches.

Wow, I wouldn't have thought someone would make the dog the bad guy! hehe, I thought people would say cats were the bad ones for being selfish, self-centered, etc.

I think He created cats to bring joy to cat lovers, and to help control mouse populations. :D
 
It has been scientifically proven that stroking a cat can lower one's blood pressure.
 
^Yup, animals are in general good for therapy, be it physical or emotional matters.
 
THIS IS A VERY GOOD QUESTION, ALMOST EXCELLENT, THE NEWS CLIP THAT SAID A CAT FELL 19 STORIES AND SURVIVED. NOT ONLY R THEY SWEET AND MESSY SOMETIMES BOTH SWEET AND MESSY BUT THERE IS A SCRIPTURE THAT SAYS TAKE A LESSON FROM THE LITTLE ANT, IT STORES IT'S FOOD IN THE SUMMER, FOR THE WINTER, PRETTY SMART, MAYBE NOT SO CUTE AND CUDDLY BUT WE CAN TAKE A LESSON FROM THE FELINE PET. Good question but I do know that cockroaches can survive nuclear blast.

In fact there is a paper, rock, scissors game called cockroach, foot, nuclear bomb

cockroach beats nuclear bomb
foot beats cockroach
nuclear bomb beats foot
