A tree doesn't just bare fruit instantly when the rain falls on it. There's seasons, even years before some trees bare their fruit.
Same thing for babies. They don't just go out be fruitful and multiply straight out the womb. They have to grow into an adult.
An adult mind isn't the same as a baby.
That's why God does things in this way.If he just spoon fed you his mysteries like a aero plane flying into your mouth, you'll will always be a baby.
According to 1 Peter 2:2, it doesn't look like anyone passes on from milk
to meat without first knowing that the Lord is good. OP is not there yet.

My mom thinks you have an addiction to pornography. Because every good thing comes from God. You would rather be like esau have your porridge now and give up your inheritance? You live 70 years if your lucky then an eternity in hell.
No, but god has had a life long addiction of using me as his punching bag, despite attending his boring church, boring and dry catholic school. It never served as any kind of insurance plan as it never protected me from the morons I had to figuratively share the road with. I know when I was in church God's assigned holy spirit was reading my thoughts. I remember I would sit in church bored to death saying, "I can't wait to get out of this musty smelling place". I bet the holy spirit ran to god and ratted me out. Since god does not operate in linear time, he must have the ability to jump back and forth in time and started screwing with me probably the day I was born because he and his diva attitude felt insulted.

Your God is not a nice guy, though for whatever reason you people choose to worship him. I read all you peoples issues on all kinds of religious forums, many of you have problems, serious problems and god probably created them in the first place.

Your mother would have to secretly entertain impure thoughts to assume such a thing.

Perhaps. But it's meant to be instructional.

Question for you: what do you want your relationship with God to be like?
I would prefer a hands off relationship. I would tell god that I will follow the golden rule, that's the best I can do. I apologize, but if I only had time on Sunday to pick up sticks in my yard please forgive me. Something along those lines.

Psalm 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.

No, she is right. There is usually a sin that keeps a person from God's blessings, whether it be an addiction or a lifestyle.

I can tell you have never received the holy spirit, so going to church would be like picking up sticks.

Jesus dying on the cross for your sins is the most expensive present that has been given to you for free, but instead, you spend that gift in a day, and then for eternity, you're thirsty and tortured.

What Christians have, you cannot buy inner peace, joy and love. It's a spring that never dries up. Even when we have come from terrible situations or are in terrible situations, we are happy. God gives us this through his son, Jesus Christ.

But because you have chosen the devil as your spiritual father, you will experience dryness. It's probably already apparent. You don't get genuine emotions. you never want to Be alone because it causes you to realize the emptiness within.

Planet, we all have had times where we, too, were foolish in rejecting God but jesus was sent for you he was sent for the sinner, not the righteous. Sin has caused this generation to heart to be hard, but God says, "A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh."

Deuteronomy 30:6~ The LORD your God will circumcise your hearts and the hearts of your descendants, so that you may love Him with all your heart and with all your soul, and live. :)

The Created does not "tell" the Creator anything, we find Him in our humility and a contrite spirit, that is a major problem you have just disclosed, arrogance and pride.(y):coffee::unsure:

Oh yeah, this reminds me... I recently found out that I have a hard life.

I have spent decades thinking I have a pretty easy life. I haven't had any great trials of note, at least in my opinion.

But recently somebody I know was talking about the hard times I have been through. That was news to me. I didn't know I had been through any really hard times. Life happens of course, it's not always perfect, but I didn't know I had been through any really major trials.

Sometimes it's all about perspective. I know some people who go through some things and keep going with a cheerful outlook, while other people go through the same things and they get really pissed off about it.

*Shrug

I haven't lost anything I was going to keep after I die anyway. If I lose it now or if I lose it later or if I keep it until the end of my life, eventually I will lose it.

If everything you try to do is going wrong for you, maybe you're trying to do the wrong things.

Do you view God as a distant despot?

It's pretty obvious he does.
Yes. But I'm just confirming so I can juxtapose it with experiences of others in the Bible. Trust the process. He may even come to meet the real God of the Bible.

No God's soldier, no problem with that here. Tell your mom it's ok, there have been been 105 Billion humans on earth, that means a lot of impure thoughts.

tldr:

Some people don't want to hear the truth. This method of communication makes it easy to ignore for those who want to ignore it. Only those who want the truth will find it.
People ignore the truth even when it's proven using cold hard facts and video.

That's why we're ruled by con men on both sides.

It's an easy out to frame someone, especially when they are on the ropes.
Not my intention at all. When Paul went to Athens, he saw a lot of altars to different gods. Among them was one labeled To The Unknown God. He went on to say that whom they were ignorantly worshipping, he would declare to them. You can read about in Acts 17 beginning at verse 21.
It is this same God that you too are ignorantly worshipping. You see Him as a harsh ruler and indiscriminate deity. You seem Him as distant and uncaring over His creation. You are not alone in this. We all began our relationship with God in this way. But at the perfect time, He came to each one of us and made Himself known. He set His affections upon us and manifested His great love to us in bringing us to Himself.
Had this happened to you already, you could not speak of God as you do. Having sought after Him and finding Him, you would know that not only isn't He distant and uncaring, but that He is a very near and present help. But I also believe that it is no accident that you have joined the site and begun this thread. The unknown god is perhaps becoming the Known God Who has been with you all along. And this is my prayer for you: that God is pleased to make Himself known to you as He truly is. And in doing so that you may find life in Him.
Praying for you.
