Strange that you would use this verse. I am unaware of church dancing with all their might half naked. What church is doing this and are there any you tube clips, not that I would want to watch.
The point is dancing before the Lord is biblical. Sorry that you fail to see that. It isn't a requirement obviously but it isn't for you or anyone else to mock and ridicule people for their expression in worship.

The point is that no church is doing what you say is biblical. Again, what church is dancing with all their might half naked as David did? It was you who brought up the verse, explain why no one is doing this. I have seen a number of "holy laughing" clips but never half naked dancing before the Lord.

I think Nehemiah may have been referring to the "Holy Laughter" and those rolling around "drunk" as shown here.

The scripture that instantly comes to mind is... Galatians 5:22-23: "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control"

That video is horrifying!

This is an off-the-beaten-track suggestion. It has nothing to do with the thread, and very little to do with the video. It has to do with Search Engine Optimizing. (SEO) SEO is a science on how to get your site high up in the search engines result pages. (SERP.) Preferably in the first three spots, since most folks don't bother searching beyond those spots.

And one of the ways to do that is to get external links to the page. Adding a link to anything on this site = one external link. Adding the same link twice = two external links. The website with the most links for those keywords is the one who wins first place on the SERP. The SERPs use algorithms to create their pages, and purposely don't look at content to see if it's worth loading on to the page. (It's a machine tracking sites, not humans, although humans create the algorithms that work best for their purposes.)

This is why I tend to void out a bad link/video when I'm replying to someone, even when I hit "reply with quotes."

Since you think it's horrible too, I just wanted you (and everyone else) to know this, so we don't add onto the reputation of a bad video/website, in the future.

I need to go to ten catholic churches to get a feel of the general people, and what goes on...

But either way, I don't believe I can deny the fact that there are people in the churches, that love the Lord Jesus Christ.

So yes, all you can do is just share and anayliaze the doctrines and the practices that they do use, which i never seen personally but know they do some weird stuff or whatever. But, like I said, how can you really say what they believe in their heart if you never really ask them?
That's because you're judging churches by going to ten services, instead of judging the people going to that church. I come from a normal size Catholic family. One of six kids. I know my family. None of them believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, except me. And I had to stop being Catholic because of that. (And I had a special situation that made me obliged to stay Catholic, so I was, at one point, both Catholic and Christian, but only 4 out of the 20 years I was Catholic.)

And, if you think it's wrong to judge them before finding out what's in their hearts, then why do you judge them as believers before finding out yourself?

I don't know why you are fixated on "half-naked"
How people dress is in the context of the time they live, the climate, the custom and the occasion.

I chose to leave Catholicism and repent of idol worship when I was young and started to read the Bible. I also left behind the dated KJV because I associate it heavily with the dead, boring religion that I left.

The catholic church rejects the KJV bible because it removed the uninspired apocrypha books for me the KJV was the word of God that saved me from the catholic religion.. So i definitely will not be leaving it behind :D

You know exactly what I am getting at. David being mentioned as half-naked had nothing to do with climate, custom or occasion. You brought up his dancing as a proof text to legitimize the "dancing" done in certain churches. If this is justification why does it stop at the dancing, if this is the example why are the "holy rollers" not removing their clothes. Are they quenching the spirit by not following the example of David?

Bringing up David in a discussion of Christian worship is about as lame as it can get. The Ark of the Covenant is now in Heaven, there is no Temple in Jerusalem, and those who worship truly must worship in Spirit and in truth. The Lord's Supper is where Christians worship and commune with God and Christ. For the early Christians, this was a weekly "Remembrance Feast".

The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread...Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils. (1 Cor 10:16,17,21)

The Roman Catholic Mass is a PERVERSION of the Lord's Supper, and for that reason alone the RCC should be shunned.

I used to be sympathetic to the rcc untill I did a history study on them. I thought they were mislead and blinded.
They are more of a organization than a church. Misleading intentionally by the spirit of anti-christ.
I do not say this lightly or off the cuff. In fact it's a bit frightening to see the power it has over the people.
I pray for the followers that are truly searching for the Lord. And for the rest of those who intentionally are mis leading the sheep let's just say those prayers are for God's ears only.

You have some problems. I never read David as "half naked" YOU DID. I read that David was wearing a linen Ephod. THE DANCING was my focus. The Holy Spirit has been present working with people since Adam. If you want to dismiss that it's up to you. You can't push off your own religious restrictions on everyone else.

Thank you for yet another uncalled-for insult.

It was TOTALLY relevant. Praising the Lord is NOT a new thing. The Holy Spirit was the same then as he is now.

Wow never knew that...now how can I unknow that. What would David know about worship?....I mean with the psalms and all? (Sarcasm).:D

When a person states they are Catholic I always ask if they have read the Bible for themselves..

There was no reference to the Psalms thus far. It was all about David dancing. Where is this dancing recommended in the NT? However we do read about Psalms, and hymns, and spiritual songs.
