Were the 12 the same as Barnabas? Why isn't his name in the foundations of the Church as seen in Revelation?
All 27 listed to include the apostle Jesus were the same. Apostles are sent with the word of God nothing more and nothing less.
No the twelve were set aside as Holy for that one time purpose. The apostle Abel the first martyr is not part of the metaphor used in Revelation 21 parable. It called the golden measure. Not the measure of man (Blue) .But is the measure of unseen, eternal "faith".
The tribe of Dan is missing from that description and in the same way Judas is missing.
