Are there any seminaries or bible schools who/which teach "KJV-only" ?

ever listen to some pastors teach the word. They have a language of their own.. I used to call it "king jimmy-ise" I think it takes awhile to learn it, they have a few semesters to get it down pat..

Nice story, has nothing to do with my position. Most seminaries are teaching Calvinism and/or Lordship Salvation. Am I wrong? Look at the major seminaries today and the pastors that are pouring out of them.

Well, Sir, This is the point in time where you and I part ways. You don't know what you are talking about and speak as if you do.

Are you reaching the lost, or fortifying your position?

Good day Sir. May you find Peace.

Amen.

This is Abraham's thoughts during the whole thing.

[SUP]17 [/SUP]By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, [SUP]18 [/SUP]of whom it was said, “In Isaac your seed shall be called,”[SUP][d][/SUP] [SUP]19 [/SUP]concluding that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead, from which he also received him in a figurative sense.

Thats true faith, vs belief,,

Yes, it certainly wasn't simply his willingness to kill his child for a god. All sorts of people were already doing that.

Which Greek manuscripts? The Majority or the Minority? The Alexandrian line or the Antioch line?

The Holy Spirit is the final authority and not man....that's the great part in all this......to rest completely on the translators of the KJV is to make "them - men" the final authority and not the scriptures from where the translation came from originally.

Jesus said that the Holy Spirit will teach you all things....I believe Him. I trust Him!

Your position is that the KJV is the only correct and perfect version and that ALL other versions are false--did I miss anything?

1. If the KJV is the only correct version of the Bible -- How are people who do not understand English expected to hear the Gospel? Is learning English a prerequisite for salvation? Where's the scripture to support this?

2. In the 16th and 17th centuries, people commonly used "thee" and "thou" in colloquial speech. Now, not at all! The KJV is nothing more than a common language translation. 400+ years have passed, and we no longer use "thee" and "thou" as a part of our common speech--we say "you". This isn't a doctrinal change--this is a language change.

You miss the point. For, your KJV originated from manuscripts that were written in Hebrew and Greek.

"In 1604, King James I of England authorized that a new translation of the Bible into English be started. It was finished in 1611, just 85 years after the first translation of the New Testament into English appeared (Tyndale, 1526). The Authorized Version, or King James Version, quickly became the standard for English-speaking Protestants. Its flowing language and prose rhythm has had a profound influence on the literature of the past 400 years."

"So James ordered a new translation. It was to be accurate and true to the originals. He appointed fifty of the nation's finest language scholars and approved rules for carefully checking the results.
James also wanted a popular translation. He insisted that the translation use old familiar terms and names and be readable in the idiom of the day."

This is a huge point the KJVO's fight, tooth and nail. To them, I guess they think Jesus and the Apostles actually spoke in "Thee's" and "Thou's" and put "eth" on the ends of half their words.

When we get to Heaven, is God gonna scold us for mowing our lawns?

Why mowing the lawn is bad for you | Daily Mail Online

Seems like a lot of waste and harm for the purpose of aesthetic beauty.

I struggle with issues like these.

I once confronted a pastor of my home church about wasting water. The church was watering a plant which was surrounded by river rock (landscaping rock) and gallons upon gallons of water was [were?] flowing across the sidewalk and into the road. The pastor said something like: "I don't understand how saving water here will help folks in other countries."

...still looking for another church to call "home".

The gospel message can be preached in any language, but God never promised to give us His words in all languages. He did promise to preserve His words. Where are they?

All taken from KJV itself:
John 12:38 That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake,
Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?

Romans 10:16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith,
Lord, who hath believed our report?

Isaiah 53:1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?

Ups! Your infallible perfect translation of Isaiah lost the word "Lord", quite bad, huh? :)

Since we don't have the originals, anywhere...

"What we do have are thousands of manuscripts from which the original writings can be ascertained. By thorough examination and comparison of those manuscripts, it is determined what the original writings stated. This does not mean that there are absolutely no differences between the manuscripts. But the differences are extremely small and insignificant and do not in any way affect the basic teachings or meaning of God’s Word. The differences are things like minor spelling variations. We should keep in mind that this would not and does not affect the accuracy of Scripture, nor does it mean that God has not preserved His Word. God has supernaturally kept or preserved His Word."
