Why to try to find out what there is in the heart of people? Invest your time in know Jesus and learn to fear Him (Jer 9:24).
• Pro 20:5 -> “The purpose in a man's heart is like deep water, but a man of understanding will draw it out.”.
• 1Co 2:11 -> “For who knows a person's thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.”.
• Pro 18:4 -> “The words of a man's mouth are deep waters; the fountain of wisdom is a bubbling brook.”.
• Psa 64:6 -> “They search out injustice, saying, “We have accomplished a diligent search.” For the inward mind and heart of a man are deep.”.
Only a wise man can find out what exists in the heart of a man. Nonetheless, why are we interested in it? Judges in a court could yearn for it (at least the honest ones) in order to carry out the judgment with justice.
Nevertheless, in regard to those who believe in Jesus, there is no reason for this. In the deep of a place full of water is deposited much dirtiness. Try to get some water will imply in suking up much of this dirtiness. And the Holy Scripture says:
• Isa 33:14,15 -> “The sinners in Zion are afraid; trembling has seized the godless: “Who among us can dwell with the consuming fire? Who among us can dwell with everlasting burnings?” He who walks righteously and speaks uprightly, who despises the gain of oppressions, who shakes his hands, lest they hold a bribe, *who stops his ears from hearing of bloodshed and shuts his eyes from looking on evil*,”.
Many people look on good to know what there is in the heart of people in order to keep the evil at bay. However, the instruction of the Holy Scripture is:
• Rom 12:21 -> “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”.
Note that it isn’t for us to flee from the evil, nor to fight evil with evil, but to overcome evil with good. Besides, if we are with Christ, He can change the evil in good as it was in His crucifixion. Although Judas, Ha-Satan and the religious leaders intended evil against Jesus (to exterminate everything that had to do with Him), it was this what proportioned the concretization of His plan (the redemption of all creation).
So, don’t try to survey what exists in the heart of someone. As only the Creator is good (Mat 19:17: Mark 10:18; Luke 18:19), certainly what exists there isn’t something good. It’s better to have a good day sowing the good, regardless what people have in their heart or their intentions. Do this and have an excellent day reaping what is best in this Earth:
• Gal 6:7-9 -> “Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”.
• Heb 13:5,6 -> “Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?” “.
