This is good enough for me:

Romans 8:18-25

18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. 19 For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. 20 For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope 21 that[h] the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God.
22 We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. 23 Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies. 24 For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? 25 But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently

“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭21:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. ….And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them. And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭65:17, 21, 24-25‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Back to the original covenant when animals ate herbs and not each other

The animals spirit goes downward to the earth because they cease to exist anymore, anywhere. Not so with man.
There are NO animal spirits. Show us even one other Scripture that hints at this. Spirits are only in humans, and only for spiritual communications and comprehension.

Mice in Heaven ... who knew.
Peter knows -

Acts 10:10-12
he fell into a trance and saw heaven opened and an object like a great sheet bound at the four corners, descending to him and let down to the earth. In it were all kinds of four-footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, creeping things, and birds of the air.

note also that they, just as the human animal, are all also created from dust, even while Genesis only records the verbal command He gave that they be created.

Psalms 104:27-30
These all wait for You, That You may give their food in due season.
You give them, they gather in;
You open Your hand, they are filled with good.
You hide Your face, they are troubled;
You take away their breath, they die and return to their dust.
You send forth Your Spirit, they are created;
And You renew the face of the earth.

Genesis 7:21-22
And all flesh died that moved on the earth: birds and cattle and beasts and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, and every man. All in whose nostrils [was] the breath of the spirit of life, all that [was] on the dry [land,] died.
every animal has the breath of the Spirit of Life.

Job 12:7-10
But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee: Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee. Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the LORD hath wrought this? In whose hand [is] the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.
and every animal has a soul.

you keep leaving they key part of that passage in Ecclesiastes out, where it is prefaced by "who knows?"

does praising the LORD count as spiritual communication and comprehension?

Psalms 150:6
Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD.
Praise ye the LORD.

You may be getting spirit mixed up with soul. The soul of the man is what scripture calls the "inner man." It is the "heart" of a man. It is in essence, who we are that is eternal. When the spirit leaves the body, the body dies. The spirit is what brings life to all creatures. The spirit is separate from soul.

And it is only by the grace and mercy of God and the finished redemptive work of Christ that we have this hope and this guarantee of eternal life. Adam failed God and humanity but Christ was victorious over sin, death, Hades Hell, and Satan.
Victory

John 16:33

Authorized (King James) Version

33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Forms us new as have done this as well, yet not of self ever, at least for me this, I am seeing presently in awe over this love and mercy given us all by Son's done work for us to be in like flint and out like Alexander Monday
Yelling thank you It is finished

John 19:30

Authorized (King James) Version

30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

Then believe, Thank God Father of Son for use tom be new in his risen life given us by daddy, to be and remain humble in it, knowing it is not us that do the good work, rather it is God Father that does it through us in the power of God's Spirit as in John 4:23-24

Yes agree, it is an "animating force" not the eternal spirit which a human possesses.
The vocabulary at that time was limited and so the same word was used but it had a different application.

It is really quite easy to see why animals do not have souls and spirits. They simply have animal instincts and animal intelligence. They do not and cannot sin. God would never allow animals to be sacrificed or their flesh eaten if they had souls and spirits.

yet by those instincts, animals are way smarter than us humans? What
Yeah go back to the Tsunami. All animals that could get out of the area fled. Elephants pulled stakes out of the ground to get free, knowing the Tsunami was coming by instinct. And people did not see it coming or feel it by instinct, and so partied on and got flooded and killed
Time to wake up and ask for the relationship with God, Son Jesus made possible on that cross for us all as reconciled 2 Cor 5:17-20 thanks

It is amazing how God gave animals such excellent instincts. Even the migration of birds, fishes, and animals is a wonder to behold. They can "sense" danger long before it becomes a reality and move to protect themselves.

That is also why people should rely more often on "gut" instincts. Rationality is good up to a point, but we can "sense" things with what some call the "sixth sense". Today there are generally advance warnings about natural disasters, but some people refuse to give heed, and pay dearly for that.
