WATCH: Mamdani bashed for going 'full deranged marxist' with rip on famous Ronald Reagan line

He obviously does not know what Margaret Thatcher had to say. "“The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.”

Some people think having the rich actually pay taxes or closing tax loop holes is scary socialism.
I don't know anyone who thinks that, but having free transport for the city, freezing rents, decriminalizing many crimes, having a government run grocery store, and asking someone else to give you $8 billion so that you could pay your bills, those are the things most people have a problem with, though if you are representative it would seem apparently not Canadians.

Fascism conquers Democratic Socialism in America is what is happening. Both the GOP and the Democratic party are no more, the Eagle has died in her nest.

Can I assume then that you're okay with the president pilfering taxpayer money to payoff J6 rioters?
Leftie double standards, again and again since it sounds like slush fund payouts was started under Obama. Perplexity AI

Regarding Trump slush fund, wasn't that procedure started under Obama?

Yes, you're correct that the practice of using settlement funds to direct payments to third parties—often called "slush fund" settlements—was indeed initiated and significantly expanded during the Obama administration. The Obama Justice Department, particularly under Attorney General Eric Holder, required corporate defendants in settlements to make payments to non-governmental third-party organizations that were neither victims nor parties to the lawsuits.
Obama-Era Practice

During the Obama administration, settlement agreements routinely directed funds to left-wing activist groups and policy projects. For example, banks were required to fund organizations like NeighborWorks, JP Morgan paid $7.5 million to the American Bankruptcy Institute, and Volkswagen was required to invest $2 billion in zero-emissions technology. The Obama EPA also used these settlements extensively to fund green energy projects, signing more than 120 consent decrees with left-wing plaintiffs. Republicans criticized this as an end-run around Congress's constitutional power of the purse, allowing the executive branch to fund policy preferences without going through the legislative appropriations process.
Trump's First-Term Ban

During President Trump's first term, Attorney General Jeff Sessions issued a memo in June 2017 prohibiting Justice Department lawyers from entering settlement agreements that direct payments to third-party organizations not directly harmed by the conduct. This policy was codified into the Code of Federal Regulations in December 2020. The House also passed the "Stop Settlement Slush Funds Act" to make such prohibitions permanent, though it died in the Senate.
Biden Reversal and Current Controversy

President Biden reversed the Trump policy on his first day in office, ordering a review that resulted in rescinding the Trump-era prohibition.

Steve Bannon and Peter Navarro are good candidates. Big bucks for them two, thanks to the Obama precident and good ole smokey Joe Biden.

To my above

bankrolled this treason, with bureaucrats pressuring analysts to endorse the Steele Dossier’s debunked claims.

Grassley’s push to audit MYE drives isn’t just oversight—it’s exposing how D.C. elites laundered public funds into regime change against a sitting president. Every dollar wasted on this scam robbed Americans of real security.

Time to defund these shadow agencies and jail every conspirator.

So that explains this, hmm ..... they are everywhere.
That was few minutes ago it has already increased, those darn socialists.

How much money does America spend on social programs? Australia spends about 1/3 of its taxpayers money on welfare. It's not only how much is spent, it is where and how it is spent. For example, defence expenditure in America mostly stays in America. It keeps major industries profitable. That is not a bad thing.

The great risk as far as I can see is AI and robots. Vast numbers of jobs have already been lost. Consumers drive the economy. That applies to most developed economies.

The good news for America is that the economy can manage the debt - for now. If that changes, everyone is in trouble.
